cool man, good luck w/ everything. i cant wait until some people get this budget kit installed. i am looking to go FI sometime in the near future, and am almost certain i am going to pick up a phamspeed setup. but i could save some $$$ with this budget kit, and i would only be looking to make 500-525rwhp.

and if you look at my list someone of that stuff isnt even really needed, like the roller rockers,MAF,valves, 02 mani's and cutout....so on a real budget without that stuff id be looking at $3965!

and not for nothing but im selling my ram air airbox and lid and headers and exhaust now which is sold and im making back $500 on that stuff!

so i am guessing you bought the 02 manifolds b/c they flow better. what year is your car, mine is a 2000, so i am wondering if i would need the new manis. i already have cam, springs, rods, MAF, etc... so all i really need is the turbo stuff and the intercooler. looks like I could get a decent setup for less than 4g's easy. very tempting, cant wait to finish my house

ok thats a start, now take that number and double it, seriously.
youll need that extra cash or you;ll wind up going broke before you finish it like me
im not sure where all that money will go, but all these little things add up quick.

after looking at my numbers what else would i need?
i dont think being under $5500 is bad.right now im making about 360rwhp and im going to spend $5500 to make about 480rwhp....thats an upgrade of 120 hp...if you divide the cost by that you get $45 per hp which is awesome IMHO

Your missing fuel pump.

Where are you getting you $130 estimate for piping from the intercooler to TB? Is that just for material and your going to make it yourself?

Add another 2400 for a 12bolt, then 3000 for a forged short block, then you'll be all set to go.

As long as he keeps the boost at a conservative level, the stock shortblock should be fine for now, right?

Hey ddnspider, is your car an a4 or m6? Just curious what clutch you're using if its an m6.

add in money for a clutch which you will need and/or a good stall. Not too mention the suspension to get the power to the ground.

after you're all done you can triple that 5 g number. you ain't done yet..

im only going to run 7-9 psi so i can keep my stock sb,and the heads will lower compression to help with that.as far as a rear...i dont go to the track much, but i may get a Zexel torsion diff and moser axles down the road.

heres the link for the piping,i talked to Frcefed and he said he it was a really good idea since its cheap, comes with everything,i can adapt it for what i need, and since im only gonna push about 8psi i dont have to really worry about the couplers popping off...and that price is SHIPPED
