Default track last night, odd problems

well very first pass, feels decent out of the hole(1.67 60ft) even though it blew off the tires, but pulls Ok. Get to turn off and no power steering. So I knew I threw the drive belt. Badly over heating from no coolant circulation and it's boiling over.

Put belt back on and make another pass. Same thing even worse.

Take it home before belt is totally shot and I destroy the motor. Only ran 11.40 at 120mph with 8psi.That is terrible. Way way down on power. So today I scan it and find a TPS sensor code. Sure enough a wire is broken. Freeze frame history indicates it happened my first pass.

The effects of no TPS? NO PE ! It commands 14.7 and that's it.

I made my passes commanding 14.7-1 AF. How lean it went I am not sure. Plugs look Ok and it compression tests fine. So I think I dodged a bullet.

Detonation may have caused the belt to jump. Not sure. Never had it jump the stock setup in the last 6 years.

So anyhow I was down at least 50hp.

This was ALSO the first time running with the OBX. I'm going to blame some of the power loss on going lean and very low voltage supply from no alternator the entire pass.

But at this point I think the 3-4psi I lost with the OBX vs no intercooler may be a real issue with the G-trim.

Has anybody seen a loss at the track with an OBX?

Good times from last night ->

Steve

YIKES!
Glad it looks like no damage was done.
Has the car felt slower when street testing?
Interesting you see a 3-4psi loss. I believe most that have measured only see a 1-2psi loss. I myself have no data because of course the wastegate compensates for any loss I may be seeing.
Knowing you I am sure you did but have you checked everything over for leaks to make sure your not losing more boost than you should?

no, but my butt-o-meter seems to out of adjustment from driving a 140hp v6 Cougar as my daily driver.
No leaks, and my boost loss is compared to no intercooler at all.

Stock idler for main drive?
yep,and I have a solution for that.

no PE bad
Yeah not good, especially since I ramp mine up with rpm. I saw the SES but figured it was just a code set by pegging the coolant gauge at 260' .
That's what I get for not bringing a laptop.

69firebird, I think I have some in my pics link in my sig.

you have done alot of self fabrication it looks like I really envy those who are willing to branch out and do things themselves like that.

Thanks 69firebird, I'm hoping to pickup a lathe to do more precise things.
Yes I made the t-arm, drag swaybar, panhard bar,th400 cross member etc.
The suspension works real well.
