Default Another 10 second street car...

Ran last Friday at Norwalk for our COFBA Spring Drag Day. Drove the 120 miles there and 120 miles back while maintaining 20mpg. Ran the car on Sunoco Ultra 94, no more, no less.

60' - 1.614
330' - 4.592
1/8 - 7.070
1/8 MPH - 102.03
1000' - 9.187
1/4 - 10.958
1/4 MPH - 126.20

Stock engine, heads, intake (LS1)
'02 LS6 cam/springs/retainers
Janzter ported stock TB
Delphi 50# injectors
Dual 255lph fuel pumps (ATI in-line & Walbro 340M in-tank)
ATI P-1SC-1 Procharger @ 12psi (6-rib system)
MAC mid-length 1 3/4" headers w/ Chris Pippy true duals
LS1 Edit tuned by Todd Brandon, Mike Brown, Bill Wright, and myself
Berberich Automotive & Fabrication Stage III 4L60E tranny
Midwest 3500 stall (1.9 str)
Stock 10-bolt rear (Zexel-Torsen HD posi, GM 3.73s, Summit Racing girdle)
Stock suspension (shocks and springs)
BMR Chassis components (sub-frame connectors, lower control arms, shock tower brace, pan-hard rod) - rest of chassis stock
BFG drag radials at 12psi rear, regular radials in front at 40psi
Full interior, AC, heat, 10-speaker Monsoon system w/ 12-disc changer, front/rear seats, carpet, floor mats, etc. (only thing missing from stock is the jack/spare)
3750lbs race weight with me driving

I think that covers it. My goal of a 10 second full street car is done. Now I'm gonna launch harder and get 10.70s. I've only been launching at 1800

Any comments, suggestions, questions, concerns? I'm really happy and many thanks go out to all the guys who have helped me get the car to where it's at

how much harder do you think you can launch with that 10 bolt in there, even if it is built.

congrats on the new best

ya, get that 60' a tiny bit lower you should be good for mid 10's. mph looks very nice as well. i dont know what kinda 60' times 10 bolts with the auto's are able to run, but assuming it holds up nicely, your good to go

10 sec slips are my goal too fully loaded, as it sits I think i'm a valvespring job away. 12 psi sounds really low for the bfg's never heard of anyone running at that low a psi.

Congrats on the 10 sec. run. Keep the fast Ohio cars coming. I'm taking a stab at it too this year. I've given up on Nittos getting me there. I have some M/T drag radials coming, hopefully that will do it.

CAT3: Thanks, I plan on it after car show season. Gotta keep the trophy shelf full too.

Tom: I hope to see ya out too. Don't let me catch up to you...

asnxps2: Keep trying, but the weather is a big factor. My car hates hot and humid.

Jonathan: 2500 I think will be safe. Basically, I'm gonna start there and see if I spin then work my way down. BTW, I'm glad you're ok after the bike wreck.

John: Chad sent me the video. Really nice, and I'm sorry for whupping on you.

BudH: Mine work quite well, I'm glad I invested the extra money for them as opposed to Richmonds or some ****.

MIGHTYMOUSE: Thanks, it is a great feeling!

Todd: Hey man, you did the majority of the tuning. Many thanks go out to you for the time invested before you wimped out and moved to Texas.

onfire: Hell yes it is.

2000 Tran Zam: I plan on it, just needed to drive home. It's holding up well and not making noise, so I think I can push it a bit more.

Got Me SOM: Good luck on yours too. I started at 14psi but spun a bit and cut a 1.77 60' so went back and dropped to 12psi since I KNOW from prior experience that 12psi will net me 1.6x times. No problems there.

2001WS6Vert: Thanks. Ohio is starting to represent! I've found out that Nittos blow *** and I will never use them again. I tried ET Streets last year and was cutting identical 60' times as I was on the BFGs. I'm fine with them and they do what I need. However, the thicker sidewall also helps immensely.

I know that you wrote stock engine but i notice noone has mentioned that you are running 12psi on ya blower. So ? is how are you running that much boost on stock rods? I knwo that some shops get away with it while testing out FI kits but to actually use it for the street woudl be pushing it, right? GJ on the times 10's is a HUGE step. LG mate

kp: I think I'm at about the limits of the P1 since I'm spinning it to 6800 and utilizing the MMS crank pulley and 3.6" RR pulley. The car needs a diet, but I don't plan on removing anything due to the "street car" goal I'm looking at. However, I just installed a WS6 hood tonight, so I think that's about 20lbs from the car as compared to the stock, steel hood.

99SS-T: The everything on the engine is stock with the exception of the LS6 cam/springs/retainers, pushrods, and oil pump. I drive the car fairly often, about 3k miles a year. I've had the blower on for almost three years, and 12psi for about 8 months.

Nice Job Anthony! Must be that pulley you got from me .

I hope to be take a shot at 10's as well when I find the gremlin that's holding me up from finishing my tuning!

I wonder how many other cars are out there running a P1 in the 10's?
