mine is so dependable i can hot lap it and be very close to the same times.
Drop the Nittos to 17-18lbs and roll into it. You'll probably break them loose at least twice on each pass but you'll get used to it. Get 2 or three passes within .5mph of eac hother and you've validated your real HP.
The baby slick is going to give up some comfort level at the top end for a little traction at the line. Since ET isn't your big goal right now it's probably not going to matter as much as you feeling relaxed at the end of the track.

Pump gas can get it done.

17" slicks are not going to hook at your power level with a stick. Danimal at Speed Inc. smoked his for over half the track.
