anyone looking to forge your shortblock soon? Im just wondering, I was going to be redoing my short block, and i have a small chamber head, so I needed a large dished pistons.
I have a set of forged eagle I beam rods with diamond -8.6cc dished pistons. Anyone looking for something similiar for a good price?

here is the calculator I am using to figure

Bore: 3.905
Stroke: 3.622
Head CC: 66.67(stock LS1)
Gasket thickness: .052(stock compressed)
Deck: Im using .0001 and would assume the same for most others
Pistons: -8.6
Cylinders: 8 (if you didnt know that, prolly dont need any of this stuff
)
gives me a grand total of 9.31:1, so a touch less than what you said, but yes your in the ballpark.
The pistons and rods have about 3 hours total run time on them, the rods have a few nicks on them, from a buddy misshandeling them, nothing that is going to affect performance. My machine shop said all is fine with it all. I was going to use them, but since I was oing to redo the shortblock, figure Ill setp it up a little on the rods, figure I may as well while im in there.
this setup is good for 600rwhp easily, prolly alot more, I just like to be consertave, that way I always have happy customers.
