sscam68--- the a/c was off with in the first week I owned the car

Nasty-ta---maybe most of it, but I need to still get my flywheel cut and put all that back together. Kind of saving that for last.

Nasty-ta---The plan for now is for me to tune it just for light street driving. That way I can break in the new clutch and I will get to fix any little problems that come up from the install. Plus I won't have to tow it to a place.

sscam68---very interested...Please let me know

Jer--------Yeah I was wigging out the other day. Told my wife I didn't want to do this anymore and I missed my kids. Then I got that drivers side turbo manifold on and was like yeah that looks good.. Kinda took the stress away.

I put the MSD LS1 wires on today. You can slightly bend the boots away from the manifolds so they worked out pretty good.

Andy

BTW, check with 99SS-T to see if he can make it too. I want a ride in his car

Very nice bud, gotta love that copper wrap. It turns a cool looking color once some heat is put through it. Too bad you had to do someone elses work today. Glad you Pm'ed on that.

A bit of advice....don't seat the radiator hose all the way to the stop on the thermostat housing....once the airfilter is on the turbo it'll touch that radiator hose and rub on it. With the hose clamped a lil ways from that stop on the thermo housing it'll give you the lil bit of room for the airfilter to move some. Did I send you pics of what I did to my airfilter to run the VC PCV lines to? If not hit me up for them.

man that is close to that pulley. frcefed is yours that close?

edit: looks as though msds are the only wires you can run with this kit, true or false?

I think it'd be best with poly motor mounts and poly tranny mount to avoid as much deflection of the motor as possible so that hitting the turbo flange would be less probable.

I don't see it ever hitting the pulley because the turbo will move with the motor. Its like all one unit kinda. I see the front swaybar might be a problem on the driver side. I guess it depends on which way the motor flexs?

Hellraiser, I agree it may not move regardless. However, with the poly mounts as stated above the engine and turbo should move in unison with each other moreso than they would with the stock mounts b/c of more flex. Do you see what I'm saying?

Wouldn't they move together with stock mounts? I would just think it would move more. All of it is attached to the motor there for moving with the motor.

My gap is even smaller I have a heat shield around my exhaust housing effectively knocking that gap down to about half of what you see on hellraisers car.
No rubbing at all so far and can't see it rubbing at all unless I get crankshaft walk likea DSM or hit a huge frickin bump that forces my turbo into the crank pulley....I'd have other issues to worry about then...like cracked headers, pipes....

MSD's are the only wires to work on this kit as they offer the multi angle boots.
