Kaos it is close to the mine is exactly the same, as an added safety feature my crank is now pinned, if that bolt backed of it would take out the whole turbo system and most of the front of the motor. HellRaiser, I would consider doing the same, inexpensive insurance.

I am running Taylor wires, this kit has pretty good clearnace between the headers.

Why can't you? I have the Thunder Racing coil relocation kit on my car as well? Just get a set of LT1 MSD wires, hack the ends off and build the wires with the MSD multi directional boots like I did...a lil time consuming but nothing is stopping you from running the TR coil relocation kit.

On the passenger side...the driver side clearance sucks.
I had the taylor 10.5mm thundervolts on my TR kit, had to toss em in the garbage as 3 of plug wire boots were resting on the header tubes on the driverside.

Felt pretty good, started to pull like your ATI setup.........then you let off . I'm still in aww at how docile it was especially with that cam. It was a helluva lot louder with the SC setup.

Hey, isn't this Hellraisers thread?!?!

You're going to love it.

I'm sold, but more than likely I'll be designing and building my own kit.

Well I drilled and tapped the oil pan today. I got he pan off and back on without hoisting the motor up or dropping the K-member. It was very tricky but easy at the same time. I just unbolted the oil pick up tube thing then slide the pan out. After drilling and tapping I slide the pan back into its place and very carefully manage to bolt back up the tube. Theres not much of a gap to work with but it can be done. then bolted the pan back up. I think this way will only work if you have the trans out as mine is right now.

You know I did wipe it down pretty good. But at this point I just want the car back on the road. I don't know how long this stock motor is going to last either. What is pinning the crank? Do you think I will even have a problem, I never took the crack off so I would think its on there pretty good.

My concern is the very close location of the turbo flange to the crank, we are both the same in that regard. If your balancer were to ever backs off, which could happen under the high stress loads you will see, you will loosee turbo and motor at the same time. Pinning the crank is pretty cheap insurance and will make sure that doesn't happen.

Pinning the crank is when they put a notch in both balancer and the end of the crank, they then insert a keyway that holds it in palce. If anything ever backed off the keyway will hold the balancer in place. The crank can easily be installed on a lift with the motor in the car, you will have to upbolt your turbo first for room.

JMHO, but I think it should be a must with our kits.

Should be some pics. I pinned my crank and crank pulley when I had the engine going together. I really did it because of the stress the supercharger put on the crankpulley and the RPM's I was turning the engine to(7200). Is it needed on a turbo application? Probably not, easy to do for you....yes and no, No because you have the crossover and exhaust housing bolted up, but yes cuz all you need to do is drop the crossover to get to the crank pulley.

A few companies make em, ATI Procharger, ATI superdampners, and a roots blower company...forgot the name of it.

Well I am getting close to being done! All I have to do is fab up the ic pipes, get my flywheel resurfaced and install the new clutch, put my gauges in, and last, pull the valve covers off and find the bad rocker arm.

Looks awesome Hellraiser

Judging by you front facia, you might want to add a skid plate as your next mod. That piping hangs way below the scratches

Looks good. I think the piping will be fine if you are at stock height. You figure the wheels/tires will go over a speed bump or any other "obstacle" and prevent the piping from being caught on anything. I still need to get to your house and check this car out. I might as well wait until it is running so I can get a ride!!!! hehehe. Talk to you later.
