Default 2 BAR MAP Adapters

if this post is inappropriate then just delete it with my apologies...

I'm planning on ordering parts to make a harness to connect my 2bar sensor without cutting the factory wiring.. The company I'll be ordering from is waytekwire and they have minimums that will force me to purchase more than I need. Would anyone be interested in purchasing a ready made harness adapter or parts to make your own? I'm not looking to make any money here just cover my expenses...

OR is there any ready made harnesses out there? If so I haven't found em...

send me a pm with the part numbers from waytek, i have quite a few of the connectors they sell and would be happy to sell a few of them cheap, or even assemble an adapter if you wanted.

I also have the correct crimpers ($140) to work with the metripack and weather pack terminals)

I have the 38204 as well as terminals, weather seals and TPA/CPA's but I do not have the 3 pin weatherpack 38045.

$5 shipped for an 38204 assembled with 12" wire pigtails if interested.

i would rather not, but tell me how long, and I can crimp them to the weather pack terminals to other connector, as i have the terminals, just no 3 housings (1,2,4,6 yes, lol)

well good and bad news, I do have a harness I pulled from a V6 motor, and it has a 3 pin weather pack connector on it, it appears to be similar to the ones I have seen on 2 bar map sensors.

The bad news is the part you listed for the 3 pin metriplack 38204 is not used on my 98 map sensor, the 99+ cars might be different, but I just tried to plug it in to my harness, and first you would need a male terminal, not the one listed, as it is the same gender as the on the harness.

I'm fairly certain I have the weather pack numbers correct although it looks like the tower shell gets a male pin rather than female as listed on waytek. Searching for answers... For the metripack I matched up the connector as listed in my 01 service manuals.

right, the harness I pulled from a motor has a male pin in the tower end, which is backwards from conventional weather pack configuration, with towers getting female pins and shrouds getting male pins.

It is possible the 99-02 map sensors are different than the 98, since the 98 cars get so many oddball parts, I just wasn't aware of the map sensor being one of them.

This is off a 99 6.0l... Being 6'4" I'm not going to try to pull the one off my 01 until it's dire.

This look like the 98??

I just checked my 98 map sensor and the sensor that came with my ls6 intake. They are both the same. Both sensors have 3 male pins.

Just order a sensor for the saturn ION redline 04 model. It is a two bar sensor that is a direct drop in. Was on my 99 SS anyway.

It seems to be working fine at this point. I'm only running about 5psi right now though. The same part number is referenced in several places on this forum.

I am pretty sure I remember harlan talking about the sensors, have you added the HPTurners stuff for the MAP sensor? or did you just plug it in and hope for the best?
