Default Guage Questions

Figured this is the most appropriate place to put this, and yes I tried searching but all the pictures are no longer hosted or there are no links to install or the damn search is messing up again. I'm about to purchase a Phamspeed budget kit in about an hour and I've begun purchasing supporting items. I simply need a quick run down or a link to an install on how to install a mechanical boost guage and an electronic fuel pressure guage. Thanks guys.

Now this is up to you but i love how my 2 5/8 Mech. Boost gauge fits in my left Center A/C vent..... so much easier to see then when i had a 2 1/16 in the A-Pillar.
I would order a 2 5/8 boost gauge and put it here...

And order a double gauge pod for your A-pillar. Like this one.....

And use a 2 1/16 Fuel pressure gauge and a 2 1/16 wideband gauge from Intovative motorsports.
Wiring the boost gauge is not that hard. You use a T-fitting and T- it off the back of the intake... Now Fuel Pressure is different becaus ei have aftermarket rails and when i had stockers i used a piece of a TNT nitrous kit that fit on the end of the rail that had a 1/8 NPT fitting to screw the sending unit for the FP gauge to. Now the wiring... i tapped into my head light switch so when i turn my head lights on they light up.... and used ignition for power and of course a good ground.
Hope that helped a lil.

thanks i was thinking about tapping into the dimmer switch wiring so if i dim my inside lights then the gauges will dim. I was just making sure on the install I wasn't forgeting anything crucial, but that all sounds like jsut what I had in mind. Thanks a bunch.

For the FP sending unit, you will need to get some fittings to hook it up to your fuel rail. You can get the one piece fitting from Metco, or you can use several fittings to hook up the FP sender and a schrader valve so you can still release the fuel pressure without removing the sender. I can snap some pics and get you some part numbers for what I did if you want. Or do a search for the Metco adapter part number.

That would be great Ferocity02, I would like to be able to bleed through the shrader valve and still be able to leave my FP sender hooked up.
