Roots Blower Is Coming!!
#41
I know a roots blower will make a ls1 behave perfectly... (i've worked on a few 03-4 cobras )
I was saying a NA heads/cam stock cube car with 450-500 rwhp, is not going to be mild daily driver. It was a comment to Bryan Wilkinson's post.
I would love to have a KB f-car, but that will never happen, unless a third party manufactures a kit for it.

lets so some math,
Roots blower setup $5500
Stock LS1 motor add,
AFR Heads, Cam, Kooks headers, corsa exhaust, tune, less than $5000.00
I must really be missing something here,

Bryan we had this topic on the " Bigger 22000 views THREAD" before!
Put nice that more and more people are looking behind the curtain and
doing their "Magna Calculation".
But you missed some points:
1. this is america some people will always love to be different........
call it a loud nise in the engine compartment ...i know enough people who sneek out of bed at night to take the monster to the mainstreet and listen to the blower whinnnneeee without the wife calling for a mental medic.
2. some are really going for a daily 500-550 HP "low grunt streeter"
3. funny to us in the old world (look how benz is covering their blower...you guys love the "Blink factor so much" hahahahah
I am on your side
1. price as with all LS1 parts is out of mind.....
2. no more other bullshit in the engine compartment like IC ,heavy Blower and etc...less weight!
3. I would lobe to see a full build 402 LS2 with a F1R going at a 402 LS2 3,3
screw charger KB-------that should be fun !There is a strong procharger
community on here so for the avg joe it makes more sense to jump on that ..the F1R head unit is (2500$???) very near to the 3,3 headunit of a 3,3
KB blower
"not to mention a 500 rwhp heads/cam car does not have anywhere close to mild street manners." Ryan posted this and i would love to hear more comments on this compared to the use of a blower....!!!!!!
The KB pumped 700Hp on a Cobra.....
This thread is picking up very fast too and someone from Tawain called us
yesterday and did us a offer for a screw blower kit at 2000$ .....
I told him ill call him back.......when i woke up i smiled cause it was just a dream......I hate all this rice stuff on the streets

why are so many people worrying about peak rwhp? its not what the eaton provides. my Lightning at 15 psi makes 522 rwtq through an insane automatic driveline. nothing close to the little stuff the ls1 community has to put up with. it fun. so very fun.

well if anyone coudl maek me some plans or give me some ideas and what the lower intake would need to consist of theres a local guy who makes intake manifolds headers whatever and does it all cheap so instead of going tt 408 id be willing to give the 408 3.3 a try if someone could get me some info together on making a lower intake manifold then i coudl take to my guy about producing them

Nothing wrong with a roots blower....or maybe I'm just biased!
I love the torque and response from the M90 though. And I'm sure the 112 would give that extra the LS1's would need.
I can't complain though, considering I'm pushing around 400 ft-lb of torque at the wheels (needless to say, with 2 less cylinders and an auto).
I'm sure if the kit is set up right, you guys will love it!

The car made it. I finished the car around 6 friday night and jumped in it and drove to the gathering with no problems. I had tons of people ask how much and when can I get one. Give me some time. I am working with Magna charger right now to make this kit available. If anyone has any pics please post them. If no pics come up check out hawksthirdgenparts.com this week and we should have a huge spread on this car. Thanks to the guys that came by and said they would post some pics for me. I am going to try and dyno tune the car this week so as soon as I get some numbers I will post them.
