I hope you're kidding.
but if anyone on here were really that competitive, they wouldn't have time to hang out on an internet chat board!
So true...so very very true!

Most 4th gen guys are so in love with AFR's stuff because that's all they've ever had for an option. Hell, I've got a set of big ones on my car (in hindsight, I should've put a set of 18X's on, but what can ya do?). What other options have there been? Canfield? I'd have a better chance of finding Tupac alive than getting a set of those. Trick Flows? Not a big improvement over factory castings. Eddies? Nah, I'll pass.

sad when the factory castings ended up being so good that the aftermarket world is having a tough time coming up with offerings that really make it worth while... the afr and allpro are the only real options at this point... the afr's are a great bolt on head, and the allpro is looking to be a great "racer" head, with possibilities that are really open to the end user.

I'm dying to see what a set of allpro's set up for n/a are capable of, but noone's done a set yet as far as I know. Hell, not too many people have even done them at all at this point.

You know, when I saw a local guy hand port his heads and get 330 out of them, I wondered the same thing. There are always improvements to any design, it's a matter of whether making those improvements will bring in revenue.

I forgot to add ET Performance's heads that are supposed to be out this year. I wanted to stop and talk to Cary @ WFC, but figured I'd be strung up for talking Chevy heads at a Ford event.

400+ CFM is not easy to obtain. No one is anywhere close to it.

400 isn't gonna be easy regardless what head it is... it's still a small block head.

The all pro's with the possibilities, would be a more likly candidate to being able to hit that # then the afr's simply beacuse of the added mat'l on the top side of the head.

I take it that's the cnc chambered head. Doesn't look like any other porting was done to them though.

What are the heads going on? Will you run them as cast or are they going to be ported? Also why did you chose those over the AFR's? Sorry for all the questions. I am ready to order my heads and I am still trying to decide which to buy.

That's why I'll keep them where they belong...a museum.

400cfm is a LOT of air. I've seen a set of Little Chiefs pull those numbers and a set of 2.2s come real close, but NEVER a 15* head, let alone a production head.

AFR's here, but we are talking about two peas in a pod, as they say in the South.

I decided on the All Pro heads. Looking at the two heads the All Pro heads are a much stronger casting. Look at the part where the rockers mount. I think if I were going to run a N/A engine then I would have went with the AFR's due to them being cnc'd for about the same price.

Those are impressive #'s for sure. How do the heads flow on a stock bore.... or are these heads only for large CI applications? Other then wanting the absolute best head on the market.. I really don't have my heart set on anyting yet.

Also, your heads... if used on a stock CI motor, what kind of cam are you reccommending.. how big is needed to maximize teh flow rates of the heads? Port size for smaller CI any different?
