Default Boost Guage Fittings and Questions

OK this is getting old, I'm afraid I'm going to over heat the search engine, LOL. Got my fuel pressure gauge questions answered and boost questions answered. I know how to install the fuel pressure and the boost gauge, but could anyone tell me the "best" location to install the tap for the boost gauge? Is it at the brake booster or someplace else? I would think the best would be directly on the intake manifold. Please explain anything you can, and remember pictures are worth a thousand words. You can email pics to me at: drkvmpr02@hotmail.com. Which ever way you went could you please tell me the fittings you used? Measurements or part nubers would be great. Thanks guys, this site has been great at answering virtually ever question I have about my car.

So what does the small silver tube on your fitting go to? I'd go look at my car to compare but I'm about 8K miles away from it right now.

The small line goes to my bypass valve (vac Supply) Brass fitting goes to my vac/boost gage, went through the fire wall right next to the throttle cable and to the A piller

Bypass valve? So in my application that would run to my blow off valve? How did you make this? Just parts lying around the house?

ya just used some stainless steel tubing and tapped it for the fitting and drilled a smal hole for the small line and pressed it in, very tight fit. Yes in your case you still would need a vac supply for your blow off or by pass.
