It's the 60-1.

kjm, If I could pull a 1.6 60' I would solidly be in the 11's, but with the amount of wheel spin I had made a huge difference. As the car sits, 11's are coming soon, but I need to figure out why my mph is so low. Once I figure that out, low 11's should be really attainable. And, this was at 8 psi, I wasn't sure if your post just had a typo.

When I said 18psi, I was refering to the air in the Mickey's at the time of the run. Even with a 1.8 or 1.9 sixty foot or whatever it was, with your hp/tq you should be walking by me by the 1/8th. Maybe just more seat time?

For comparison at 10 psi I ran a 12.2 @ 121 (2.1 60') with a 67 turbo on a hot las vegas night. Add 4-5 mph and subtract .4-.5 et for a sea level time.

This is why I don't miss my T-56 I am in the process of installing my STS setup (GT67) and plan on going deep 11's on 5 psi, high 10's on 8psi.

Some of you people gotta remember PEAK rwhp/rwtq #'s mean jack squat. Thats what your looking at his peak #'s not how his curve looks. Thats one of the reasons I can do the same mph with almost 100rwhp less.

Side comparision, mine stock bottom end baby cam setup went 11.84 at 14.7 in my stalled auto(3000 stall) without a tune vs a 13.1 at 112 in my buddies 6 speed, stock geared, no tune car(he now owns my old motor). 6 speed vs auto can make a big difference.

your mph indicates your car is making about a little less than 400 rear wheel, even with spinning your mph should be up more.

I think the driver is the reason the car didn't hit 11's, but the mph is definitely due to whatever is happening up top. I figure I should be able to pull low 120's through the traps. Remember guys, I'm posting progress, not a final thing. And I only got one run!! Maybe I'll try to go again next Friday.

Dave, I'm sure you are having fun driving the car on the street and I know there wont be alot out there that would touch you if they tried you on the street.

Oh the car is a blast on the street and the track. What's scary for everyone else is that I'm going to get this thing to run right at the track, and soon!

By the way Billy, you were 100% correct about fatherdome!

I think slowhawk hit the nail on the head. Valvesprings are probably needed. Think about this:

Peak power is at 5000rpm and he probably hits peak boost at 3500rpm.

This means that he is essentially only running at peak boost for 1500rpm before the power falls dramatically, and I would be willing to bet that he is shifting near 6k (where he is making no power at all).

As mentioned earlier, peak power/tq doesnt mean as much as how broad the power curve is.

I was shifting at about 5800, and I didn't even think about the power falling off. Kind of a brain fart I guess. Until I get the valve springs done, should I shift at 5100? That is where peak power was.

you will shift after peak power, but i really dont think valvesprings are going to help with you running a 60-1 turbo. you are choking the hell out of that thing (check out its compressor map).

Compressor maps go a little beyond my knowledge of turbos. I have a few things to look at. I'm sure I'll get this figured out soon.

I would try it. It will drop you further down in rpm on the next gear and give you a wider powerband to use.

Scoobie, it's funny you mention the rocker arms. I've been looking at adding the rocker arms all day today. I figured if I'm pulling the valve covers, might as well upgrade all the stuff in there. Now, I've done most of the work on my car myself, but I'm not sure I want to start pulling valve covers etc on my own. So paying for labor dampens things a bit.

Find a local guy to help ya out and do the work yourself. Buy the local guy some food/beer and you'll usually find people willing to help ya out.
