Default FI and FAST Intake

What are the pro's and cons of using a fast intake with about 15 lbs/boost.

I have heard that these units leak or will not hold the intake charge. Am I correct? I'm also wondering considering the charge is pressurized whether I will see any realistic gains for a $1000 investment?

Does anyone have any before and after results?

To tell you the truth cablebandit saw nice gains with an LS2 intake in the higher rpm areas.... might want to talk to him. Alot cheaper as well.

I never thought of that. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm interesting The LS2 is probably similar to the LS6 being that it is a one piece unit.

My concern on the fast is it blowing apart.

has anybody ever actually blew apart a lsx intake with just (boost) from a fi application?

I'd look at the gmpp or victor intakes with a elbow if you want to use a single blade throttle body with no cowl issues. There is a guy who makes the elbows that will clear stock cowls if you're interested.

There was a thread awile back (6-9months ago) about Fast intake and boost. Numerous people said they didn`t think it would hold more than 10lbs, but someone from Comp/Wilson posted up saying they had tested it to 25lbs. Bryan Wilkinson has run up to 18lbs on his Fast 90 I believe. I`ll be running 15 on my Fast 90 in a few weeks.

Not worth the $$$ in my book...... It doesnt flow enough for me to pay the $1K for it for a lil bit more then a LS6 intake......
Thats just my .02 though.....

You would also want a 90 mm TB (NW or LS2 for example). I think the cost to power ratio isn't justified.
