I love my procharger! SDCE 8 rib is a MUST.

Make sure you up grade your fuel system and dont run more that 7psi on a stock bottom end. I ran 10 psi on a stock bottom end and BOOM. Others have also and not had problems > I personally wouldn't push it. Good luck.

I'm with him on this one. Why not try to get a FORGED 402cid and get an easy 500rwhp? Then once that gets boring you're ready to throw some serious nitrous or boost on top and shoot for 700rwhp (or more).

If I do any more big upgrades to my car it's going to have a new, forged engine in it.

Don't the 98's have some weak rods? I'm not sure when they upgraded them, but that was an issue for me when I was going to put a 100shot on my car.

It's just some more stuff to think about if you decide to boost your stock bottom end!!

so if i'm gonna run higher boost, do i need new injectors(ha, i have no idea what i'm talking about) was looking at prochargers website, said something about that? is that the only thing i'd have to upgrade engine wise to run high boost?
sorry guys, i have basic knowlege, but i'm not at your level. help a newB out

I think all years have weak rods when it comes to pushing real hp.

If your going to keep your stock bottom end, DONT go over 7lbs of boost. I would still change your injectors and fuel pump and get that thing tuned. If not, the long run will lead to & then

LPE is selling a forged SB with stock rods so they cant be terrible.all 98-00 years were the suspects for the bad rod bolts.and if hes changing his heads to drop the CR he SHOULD be able to push more than 7 psi,not forever but the heads will help
