Default 60lbs injectors and a PT-88

How much can I expect out of 60lb injectors with a PT-88 on a 347?

What is the largest injector a stock PCm can handle..?????

They'll just have to be high impedance injectors. Are they mototron's?

Maybe Cablebandit will chime in. He's using 60s on his 347. 700rwhp, but he is also using methanol.

What fuel pressure can you run? My understanding is that the 60# mototrons can flow over 80#'s at 85psi without locking up. Unfortunately, if you figure 85# fuel pressure referenced to boost, your fuel pump would have to be able to push around 100psi or more.

I have a Aeromotive a1000-10 for right now. one 10an feed line and then a y to8 an to the billet rails with the stock being a return line. I have the regulator as well.

Rick over at HPE indicated to me that my Mototron 60s would be just fine with the PTE76GTS and my 408. The 88 is bigger but not much. I think it's all in the fuel pressure you run.

Mototrons cranked all the way up (85 psi fuel pressure) should get you to just over 800 RWHP......but that is completely maxed out. Additionally, you are going to have to really oversize your fuel pump to deliver at that pressure.

The biggest injector without molesting the injector circuit of the stock PCM/driver is around 70 lb/hr. You can get away with RC Engineerings 75 lb injector, but it requires some trickery with the programming. I run 75 lb injectors on the stock PCM/driver.

1 lb/hr = 10.5 cc/min (for normal pump gas)

750 cc/min = 71.42 lb/hr

ya, im gonna be on the stock computer and opted for the RC engineering 75#ers. i got a smoking deal, paid only 500 for them from a guy that wasnt gonna need them(brand new)

only thing i heard bad about high impedance inj's is something about the duty cycle being f'ed up or something, i cant remember what it was that was negative i heard about them...

From my calculations using there 650cc or 60# injectors and a 65psi fuel pressure the injectors should be able to do 100.86HP per injector at 80% duty cycle.......
And from most calculations thats not taking in drivetrain loss ..... so are we talking around 700rwhp......
I know Mightey Mouse did 800rwhp with his Motrons 60#ers, but he was also using 80 psi of fuel pressure and Meth.

60's can handle up to 100psi sustained pressure. Its not recommended but its possible. 800rwhp can be done with them.

Yes, we made 844rwhp with the mototron 60's at 70psi base pressure and 100% duty cycle. (this was with dual walbro pumps).

It's definitely a less than ideal situation, but it is possible.

I'd be very interested to know what the max sustainable power would be with these injectors. My new fuel system has dual Walboro 340's intank with a C5 fuel rail and return from the rail. I have an AFPR mounted on the fuel rail and it is my belief (don't now for sure) that my pump can run as high as 85 psi. I was hoping to see 750-800 on pump gas now I'm wondering if it's doable with the stock PCM and my set up
