Default Where to get pressurized oil?????

I know this has been discussed millions of times, and i did a search but couldnt find what i was looking for..... i once saw on here where you could get pressurized oil from to run to my rearmount.. i dont want to have to drill anything...im pretty sure someone was saying something about a plug or somthing next to the oil filter that you could just take out and run it from there.....

Any suggestions to where i can get the pressurized oil to feed to the turbo without any drilling??????

Any suggestions on where to get it period if there is not a place that doesnt require drilling?
thanks

do a search; you'll find alot of info.

are you going to run a total-loss system and not put the oil back in the engine? just dump the oil from the turbo onto the street - just be careful when you're backing up. that stuff is slick.

yeah you can do that; don't know many people that do. all you need is a positive displacement pump ($75), oil filter assembly ($25), oil cooler ($75) and reservoir ($30) to have your own self-contained system.

Just above the Oil Filter on all LS1 Motors is a little cap. Drain the Oil and remove the cap 2 10mm bolts.. This is where 6.0L Truck motors have their Engine Oil coolers ran to... You can go to a Chevy dealer and ask for a 2000 or 2001 6.0L Silverado oil cooler line that attaches to the block... Runs about 100 bucks but it's a high pressure line that is supposed to run to the radiator. I cut and flair fitted some AN fittings on this and ran a aftermarket oil cooler for my f-body.. You could do the same by cutting the Lines and fitting a High Pressure Hose line on there and route the line back to your turbo and have the return line go right back in the same spot... Let me know if you need any more info...

OK Hugger - which of the ports in the block is the hi pressure (engine out) and which is return (engine in)?

Need to know for an oil cooler install...

TIA,

With an Engine Oil Cooler it does not matter....

Also I'm not sure which side is pressurized.. But when you run both lines to the Oil cooler it does not matter which side is pressure since its running back to the same port..

Hugger - actually if I was just going from engine to cooler it wouldn't matter, but as I stated I'm also using a Mocal Thermostatic Control that either allows the oil to go path of least resistance mode (during cold temps) which would make it NOT flow thru the cooler, or bypass mode (during hot temps) which would allow it to flow thru the cooler. In this application I need to connect the correct 'In' & 'Out' from the engine to the thermostatic control.

NXRicky - I did find a writeup for using the system you have (which is similar idea, but different adapter). In that writup they stated that the lower tube is the hi pressure line - which would make the port on the block that is closest to front of engine to be the hi pressure or 'Out' line from the engine.

Thanx to everyone that replied...

Jay both are pressure. Meaning after the oil pump. I just found that plug to be a cool spot to drill and tap. I also think it is post filter clean oil. Not at the house so would need to check that statement please no quotes that statement might be wrong..
