ATI, SDCE guys, changing oil ?

Default ATI, SDCE guys, changing oil ?
Do you guys take the head unit off to change the oil. I can drain it but I'm not sure if I can get oil into it from the top

Former ATI SDCE Guy, but I just took the whole thing off and drained it out completely and refilled it on my bench. I always made a mess trying to fill it when it was attached to the car.....good thing ATI made it simple to remove.

I keep it on the car and just remove plug. Never had a problem > but I have made a mess or 2...

Does the SDCE get in the way? The dealer drains mine for me when I get an oil change. I fill it when its down off the lift.

well it's a tight fit in there. I ended up taking mine off to do because I would have made a mess doing it the other way

i use a long skinny plastic soda straw stuck into end of the bottle... it fills alot easier

i use a 12'' peace of 1/4 vaccum hose, one end in the bottle, the other one on the oil fill hole. never dropped a ounce of oil.
