Default F-body STS and Dyno Strapping Ques...

How are you strapping (rear) F-bodies with STS Turbo kits on the dyno. I had a conversation with a dyno operator over the weekend and he said about the only way he could figure out was strapping to the rear sway bar. So far, it's working but he also realizes it is extremely risky.

Apparently the turbo and piping are in the way to strap the axle, hence my question. Again, I'm just going by what the dyno operator said. I wasn't there watching him strap the car down.

If they strapped my car to a dyno and i noticed it was to the sway bar fists would be flying. That is absoutly crazy. INSANE. I wouldnt see why they couldnt do it to the rearend. I have only seen 1 sts car and it was a gto so i havent a clue what it looks like under there. Scary **** man lol.

When I dyno'd my car we hooked to the shipping mounts, just below/behind the rear of the doors. You can see the cut outs in the sub-frame where GM's shipping companys hook to. Worked great and no question as to wether the car was going to move.

We go right to the rear axles with every STS kit we have done on the f-bodies. Not a problem, 1 axle strap over each side of the rear and then 2 tie down straps per axle strap. 4 total tie-downs going to the rear with no intereference from the kit.

How can the turbo be in the way?? It sits where the muffler would usually be?

Damn.. I would find someone else to dyno your car.. if they cant figure that out. I cant believe a dyno operator would even suggest such a thing. WOW.
