Car lifted the heads at the track and jacked up the motor.

This is jason with the firebird. I was out their helping tony with his camaro. I did some wiring for him and wanted to make sure everything worked correctly. Only got one pass out of his car though before they closed the lanes earlly. Give dave white a call about those head studs. APE is no longer in buisness. I bought my h11 arp head studs from him.

They sold motors with a guaranteed ship time or free and didn't ship at all for many people, but collected their money. This was after they did a big 346 gp. Good luck getting that car back together quick.

They never posted the static compression.

D1 plus static compression 12:1 = Big Horsepower.........for a couple runs.

Nor did they mention what kind of dyno it was on. Some loaded dyno's if you turn off the 'loading' you can get some really incredible numbers.

Basically, not enough information to call BS just yet.

The comp ratio, from what I recall, is around 10.6 ... unless Rob changed the bottom end again. The dyno is a Dyna Pack. www.dynapack.com I have seen this car dyno before with many problems and not a full pull, easily over 650 prior to a full tune by HPTuners!

Ahhhhhh ok, depending on how old the dynapak is that could explain it.

The older units read about 15% higher than a dynojet.

Synergy saw this until they updated his Dynapak computer and now the numbers seem to fall in line with a mustang dyno.

So we are talking 680-700 dynojet. still up there but more believable.

Dynapaks are freekin awesome for tuning, but not for dyno racing

the dyna pack is less than 3-months old. static press is 10.2 -1.its nod hard to make power when you know how to tune....

it's good for people to know they are dynapak numbers though because they will NOT jive with dynojet numbers which most folks get numbers from.

otherwise they think something is wrong when they fall over 100rwhp short if comparing a similar setup to yours.

its nod hard to make power when you know how to tune....
not hard to lift the heads if you don't know how either

Is the Dynapack the one that bolts to the wheels?

yes it is.

so there is no loss due to wheels, tire pressure, how tight the car is strapped down, etc....

incredibly accurate for repeatability and to sense the smallest of changes in hp, you can literally see the hp loss from turning on your headlights in real time.

since there is no loss due to ties, etc... they tend to read a little higher, alot higher if you don't have the latest software from dynapak.

speaking from first hand knowledge.

I am sure the guys car is making great power but I always think all the info should be layed out so people have the whole picture. I am very confident if they slapped it on a dynojet it would just crack 700. Still very, very impressive once they can keep it together.

I think maybe he thinks I am trying to steal his thunder but I am not.

It's only a number, what he does at the track is the proof in the pudding.

i think you might be suprised what the accuracy is .if you do the math what kind of rwhp it takes to get a 3700 lb car to go 9.60. you might have more respect for the numbers.and as far as keeping the heads on,fuel pump failed what more can i say.just so everybody knows more power to come adding dual fuel pump set up and nos on the inter coolers to get iat down below 200 degrees.will make over 900 rwhp
