John,

Congrads man! Those are some awesome numbers. Did I not tell you sunday night easy 550rwhp?

Thanks for letting me drive that beast! Its damn sweet. My withdrawls of going fast have been taken care of for a little bit now.

Again, great numbers and if you go Cobra hunting this weekend, call me, I want to watch.

Very nice numbers! Congrats, sounds awesome!

You won't get over 600 rwhp on those injectors. I might have a set of VERY slightly used 55# RC Engineering injectors for sale if you are interested, I'm sure we could work something out... I'm also in CT.

BTW, watch out for those damn Cobras... there are couple running around that will still give you problems!

That is awesome! Is this the budget kit or the tubular header kit?

Nice #'s. Pushing the stock shortblock can be a gamble for sure...hehe

Those numbers are about the same as my STS kit did on the same boost levels. I made 430 on 6psi and 507 on 10 psi with a 67 turbo.
Zombie, I thought your #'s were with meth injection though?? If so, their is a big difference. Meth adds alot of hp on a turbo car.

Is John back to doing the non-budget kits too or was this an order he had in the works before the business switch and move to Ground Force (that's where he went right?) Awsome numbers btw.

Looks like its one of the older full header systems by the looks of the pics. Probably a system from before the switch.

Aye it is the tubular header setup. I ordered it right before teh change. I either goit the last or the next to last setup. I love it. There is no traction to be had in first second or third. I need to get dragradials for the street and some ET streets for the weekend.
Jose will meth automatically add hp or are you saying that meth allows me to run more timing therefore more power. I am at 13 degrees of timing atm. I believe that that is conservative.
I would love to be able to run 15 psi and as soon as i get injectors and meth iw will give it a go lol. Thanks guy

Congrats on the numbers!
Now you guys got me worried.. before i broke my tranny, i was having overboost issues with this 76GTS and HKS wastegate (might be too small? 38mm)... and still on a stock bottom end... so i guess as soon as i get it running again i am going to be popping this engine... greaaaaat...

The 430 was no intercooler no alky on a dynojet with a load cell, the 507 was with 50/50 denatured(ethanol) water. No meth on a dynojet with no load cell (couldn't hit 13 psi). I run meth now though

From what i read as long as you use you meth and make sure ya dont have detonation and plenty of fuel ya are safe. It will eventually break a rod but there is plenty of 600 hp cars that have been goin. And if it does break its only about 2k away from being forged. That aint bad.
Isnt meth and alky the same thing? They are both alchoal right? I havent a clue. lol

That isnt badd if you buy the parts before soemthing breaks..... but if it does break you do run the chance of spending alot more because if a rod does go and then it takes out the block also.... then your way above the initial $2k you thought you were...... Ive done it.... and i didnt even break a rod.... blew a head gasket and it took a chunk of the head with it and destroyed the block...... Just so ya know... If ya got the cash do it before she goes and try to save your self a lil head ache.... thats just my .02 though.

You won't break a rod from making power, you'll break it from screwing up on the tune though. Power doesn't break engines until you get into the big boy league. Rods break from excessive detonation or oiling system failure or rod bolt failure.

There are three main kinds of alcohol, methanol, ethanol (what you drink), and isopropyl. It's possible to run any of the three in an alcohol system. Methanol is the most desirable due to it adding HP. Ethanol is second, and isopropyl (rubbing alcohol) will work if your in a pinch.

99SS-T, meth will add power in due to the fact it drops your incoming air temps significantly. Added bonus is added timing and steam cleaning the engine...hehe

The car roared to life for a couple seconds at 12 psi then quiet. Uh oh. Go look up front and the IC pipe came off the exit end of the MAF. PHEW!! Hook it back up and try agian to the same demise. The problem is i need to get a larger T-bolt clamp as i only have a regular hose clamp on that one spot. When i ordered the clamps and connectors from turbonetics they said that a regular 3.5 clamp prolly wouldnt work so i said to send a 3.75 also but they must have forgotten. So it was obvious where this was going so we called it a day. Ken at ESP showed me the dyno of the last run at 12 psi and where i was making 400 horse on the graph at 10 psi i was making 475 this time at 12 psi!!! So i can only imagine where it would have ended. Prolly low 600's. Oh well new clamp meth and ill be back on the rollers!!! Thanks

John

PS if ya dont know about my build ya can read in this LS1Tech thread-https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=324044&page=1&pp=20
May I recommend you put some type of bead on the tubing you are clamping to. I have resently ran into the same problem. Put a couple of beads on to help hold things and its good.
Nice numbers by the way.
