Default Phamspeed dyno results!!!!!

Well it was a nicer day out today so i headed out to Eastside Performance to hit thier rollers. First pull was at 6 psi and it was rich we made 420 hp. Second run i upped the boost to 10 psi and made 531 HP and 534 TQ. The A/F ratio was perfect with no signs of leanin out so i turned it up again. This time to 12 psi. The car roared to life for a couple seconds at 12 psi then quiet. Uh oh. Go look up front and the IC pipe came off the exit end of the MAF. PHEW!! Hook it back up and try agian to the same demise. The problem is i need to get a larger T-bolt clamp as i only have a regular hose clamp on that one spot. When i ordered the clamps and connectors from turbonetics they said that a regular 3.5 clamp prolly wouldnt work so i said to send a 3.75 also but they must have forgotten. So it was obvious where this was going so we called it a day. Ken at ESP showed me the dyno of the last run at 12 psi and where i was making 400 horse on the graph at 10 psi i was making 475 this time at 12 psi!!! So i can only imagine where it would have ended. Prolly low 600's. Oh well new clamp meth and ill be back on the rollers!!! Thanks

John

PS if ya dont know about my build ya can read in this LS1Tech thread-https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=324044&page=1&pp=20

Aye i was relieved to see those #'s also. It definatly felt like 550ish at 10 psi.

My whole engine is stock save for valve springs pushrods and ported maf and TB.

Just got done makin a t bolt clamp fit. Took 2 people. 1 with channel locks makin it tight the other putting the nut on. Should hole 50 psi now lol.

There is a 600 hp 03 cobra lurkin around my area i found out last weekend. He will be getting a visit that he needs to shut his runnin mouth this weekend!!

I have a ? though. How much power you think the 42#er's can handle?
Thanks

John

Nice numbers

How fast does it spool? Do you have a scan of the dyno graph?

Nice numbers. Car looked good. Glad you fixed that hose clamp. I was the one wearing the white t-shirt when you were there today. Good luck with the car.

The 42 lb'ers are good to about 550-600 crank hp @ 85% DC with 58 psi fuel pressure and .55-.60 BSFC. IMHO, 12 psi is pushing it on a stock motor. Great numbers, good luck.

Thanks for all the comments guys. Ya it is totally stock. Valve covers were never off before 2 weeks ago when i did the valve springs and pushrods. I suppose the next thing i have to do now is the injectors...again. When i ordered the parts i told them i was gonna run it till it breaks and then forge it. I said i wanted to do everything once. IE injectors and pump. I wish i had known more about injector sizes when i ordered them cause I would have gotten 60's or more. Really pisses me off that i have to spend another 400 dollars for injectors instead of doin it once and right. I aint gonna bash a sponsor but this really chaps my ***!! Oh well just money right?? Thanks guys

Those numbers are about the same as my STS kit did on the same boost levels. I made 430 on 6psi and 507 on 10 psi with a 67 turbo.

Have fun and make sure the tune is good. I've been pushing up to 15psi now still on the stock shortblock. Don't let it detonate and you will be fine. My motor has 71k miles on it (the last 7k at 10+ psi) and I just ran a 11.8@126 (2.18 60') on 13 psi in vegas. Thats an 130 trap in cooler weather
