Default GM MLS or Cometic

Putting together an 2001 LS1 with a Procharger AFR heads and all the goodies. I called Cometic today and they told me 3-4 wks to get me one of their gaskets. My question is how good are the stock GM MLS gaskets and would I be crazy using then for 12-15 psi of boost??

The most powerful turbo Ls1 in the world uses MLS head gaskets. They should hold for yours.

What's a 3~4 wk wait when you've spent all this time and effort and more importantly MONEY! As far as the question, that's one I'm asking now as well.

get the GM ones unless you need a specific thickness
Gms are cheaper and work just as good if not better.

I have a set of the top dog (for boost) Cometics that I used 4 times. i would have used them again but they were 3.9 bore and I now have 6 liter heads (4.0 bore) I am using the GM MLS gaskets now and am very pleased with them...they have seen 15-20psi for some time now. If Harlan can use them, I knew they'd work well on my turd

I replaced my blown Cometic gaskets with GM MLS. No problems with the GM gaskets.
