Default Running Meth injection NEED HELP!!!

I just installed a snow performance meth kit and a FMIC on my trans am with a procharger and when they did the first dyno pull it burnt the MAF up. I was wondering if I mislocated the injection nozzle. It's about an inch away from the MAF on the engine side. We guessed that the water that didn't go through the TB got sucked back through the MAF and burnt it up on the way to the REC. valve. I would really rather not have this happen again so any suggestions would be great. My rec. valve is down towards the bottom. Sorry i don't have any pics or i would show you exactly. Does the injection nozzle need to be closer to the TB? Any help would be much appreciated.
TIA
mike

my advice is to dump the water and use straight meth. I don't think a little meth would hurt it. I am surprised its blowing back though

Bummer about the MAF. Whats the "REC valve?" Does the nozzle point straight into the MAF belows or blow back into the intake? If it goes straight it might be hitting the backside of the MAF wire. Running water only or Meth mixed? Got any good new numbers to show yet?

Oh yeah the STS came in! But engine & WS6 Hood deal not looking like its going to happen, been trying to get it for 2 weeks now.

Definitely move it further from the MAF, but not too close to the IAT sensor. I am not sure where it is on the LSX engines, but you want the sensor to register the colder temps so you have an idea how the injection is working.

Awesome glad to hear you got it! I don't have any new numbers cuz i had to order a new MAF but like I said i don't want to buy another one so i need some help with this. The rec valve is the reculating bypass valve. Have a good one.

I run water methanol with a STS kit and my nozzle is as close to the throttle body as you can get it.I havent had any problems yet.I was also told to run straight denatured alcohol instead of water methanol.

Yeah my thinking as well. Water by itself does not work out well for most, Meth on the other hand works wonders. I think you need at least a 40/60 mix with Meth & water for any gains, not sure on denatured. I've heard good and bad things on Ethyl but most steer clear from it IMHO. Think Meth leans you out a bit more than Eth but works better for most.
So is the "REC" valve your blowoff/surge valve plumbed back into the inake track before the super or is this a stock piece? Where is your IAT mounted now? That was a good question brought up by RealQuick.

I am running a 40/60 mix or water and meth. It's just we figured that maybe when the excess boost passed through the bypass valve it pulled the water with it through the maf and burnt it up. The valve is located right after it comes out of my FMIC intercooler (if that helps)

I've heard of a ton of ATI guys sucking in water when its raining but cant remember any of them burning out the MAF. Does your MAF have a screen? I'm wondering if a piece of trash came out of the new intercooler and piping and killed it. Has it been removed and examined yet?

What size orifice? Man I'm thinking about that recirculation theory. If thats the case it seems like the problem is it's getting to the MAF in the first place since the BOV is probably 2' upstream. Those kits spray pretty hard.
