Too bad on the Honda forums there's been a slew of 700+ WHP and 9 second 150+ MPH street cares lately :p

Marco,

What rear gears do you have in your supra, cause i know with my 3.42s it sucks to drive my car on the highway. Are you just letting your tach 3k or have you changed something? Just curious

I'd bet more like anywhere from 8:1 to 9:1.

Goin well Smokin... I had a problem with the APE tune...primitive as heck... EVERYTHING was turned off...corrupted and dangerous file..no map, no maf, no l-trim number...everything disabled. Might as well had a carb. It was set to dump 50% more fuel above 100kpa... and so on. Its amazing how well it ran with the CAS kit and this tune...but this tune did not like the twin rears... so we were waiting for our dyno to arrive here (Dyno Dynamics) and it just showed up a few weeks ago. We're gonna ditch the low imp 72lbers in favor of some 60 lb high imp, and ditch the converter. The converter plays heck with the tach signal and makes tuning a not more of a chore when building from ground up. So all delays were in waiting for the dyno to come. Should hit the street in a few weeks...I'll run it till sept/oct, then pick the new project. Its my yearly ritual.

Sorry to hi-jack Marco...back to you and your ideas. Get to work... pics are on the way.

wow, that's damn amazing. most Mustangs & Fbody guys end up paying the same dollar as the high entry fee of owning a used Supra after counting up all of the **** that breaks and the cost of mods. how the hell does the stock rear endure 1500 rwhp????

Apparently Toyota puts a little more QC into their manufacturing processes.

Well im not sure but if its a solid rearend wich it would have to be to handle this kind of abuse. Toyota makes a rearend used on all their trucks which is a 8" ring gear banjo style housing very similar to the Ford 9" and the fact that the turbos take time to spool up the inital blast of off the line is less than a 1000+HP drag car so the loss of only an inch and still a very strong housing still equals one strong rearend. infact many toyotas that people offroad and lift often stay with the same rear most times only searching for the 88 yota front ends for a solid front.... either way still sucks that GM decided to go budget on the 10 bolt

If it's a street car, you're incorrect, it would be in Chi Town area.
