Default well the procharger just exploded last night!

Yep street racing hit 3rd loud noise lost power let off and sounded horrible. I thought it might of been the motor but when i poped the hood i saw oil everywhere under the blower. Cut the belt started it back up and the motor sounds fine. Now i see the head units are like 2k + , thats just insane.
Anyone know if the D1 can be bored and a D1R fan can be installed?

damn that sucks good luck with that.it almost sounds cheaper to just get a D1R instead of swapping and boring.

Just have it repaired, unless it totally trashed it will be cheaper to get it fixed. What was you pulley combo/RPM? Any chance something got sucked in the intake? Dont see many explode, you do see a lot of oil leaks and noise.

yes i have been running it like that for over half a year now.
The atis on lt1s dont point towards the front of the car, they face backwards towards the firewall. I dont see how i could suck something up, because they sit higher too.

That sucks man! Keep us posted! I would def. run this by procharger if you cannot determine what could have went wrong.. They stand by their products, hopefully they will work with you!

They might get stingy with the warranty if they realize you were running it without a filter of any kind. Just a heads up.

Doing the calculations, it looks like he's spinning it around 6,100 rpm.

When you spin it by hand, does it feel smooth?

Oh, you can’t just bore ATI, the scroll and impeller are matched.
