The setup looks awesome, I also was converted to turbo systems after seeing your burnout on LS1Speed. My only question is why stick with the LT1, sentimental, less work, etc... I ask because I am about to drop a lot of money on my engine and I am torn between the LT1 and converting to a LSx (and turbo/TT of course!). I basically want the same kind of ability for street/track use. I'm sure you've been asked hundreds of times, but I was just wondering.
Thanks
Thanks

GrnDragon- I'm running the LT1 because it makes the power I want, it has 5 bolts per cyl, and the way the engine and accessories are make it possible to run 2 low mounted TO4's with tubular headers.
JasonShort- Nope, different block. Your block was used as my naturally aspirated 383, which I sold a long time ago.
Iroc313- It's a sheetmetal intake of similar design to a stock LT1. (just slightly longer runners and more plenum volume.)

Sandmann120- I made the turbo system, including the headers.
SStolen- Yeah, it will be a bit more upkeep, but having the lift definitely makes things easier.
CONVERTED- Total bill? Hmmm, a truckload of cash? (Honestly I don't know, and don't want to know). Gas mileage? It averaged around 16 last year, but I never made it through a tank of gas without frequent boostings
Pro Stock John- The fuel cell holds 7.8 gallons.
427- Ride from a hundred roll? You got it
LTSpeed- My main goal is to have a comfortable reliable car with tons of horsepower. It may occasionally see a road course or dragstrip, but no compromises to driveability will be made for performance.

Thank you so much for taking the time to answer that... but i'm in a huge jam... I've consulted all my friends and other boards and i get no where... I'm considering either upgrading my Lt1 to a beast LSx. but i luv my LT1 and thats one thing keeping my car 1 of 1... The biggest problem in my way is solving which is cheaper more reliable way of going.. Your proving your LT1 car be daily driven and be stupied powerful... This is what I want....... If you could just to help me get started can you ball park the price tag... I seriously just rack my head day and night about this... thank you in advance.

The racing group i've become apart of offers alot of skills... one of the guys is very talented with piping... others are hardcore tuners etc. I've got more than enough skill between all of them to make anything happen....
My budget honestly is unknown. However it's limited if that makes any sense... I know it doesnt'................ my goal was just 500 hp/tq but after seeing your numbers it perks my interest...
I'm trying to accomplish obtaining some #'s to help me figure out what kind of estimated cost i'm looking at.. At that point I can decide my goals for myself and my wallet............ Everyone is tryiing to help me find the cheapest way to go faster but I know no matter what I do i will always want more..> I think something like this will keep me content for some time..... actually i'm pretty sure a turbo install probably keep me content forever.....
I've priced kits online but I'm not sure if these kits offer everything.. I can't say i've ever helped with or completed one of my own projects that didn't require something extra....
Sorry to have taken up so much space but I know you all know what your talking about and I wish I did... but i'm so confused on what I want too do..
Thank you in advance..
