Default LSX Kenne Belle's Soon

Was looking around on some Corvette sites and noticed Kenne Bell will be releasing an intercooled 2.4L blower for the corvette. THey had graphs up showing 505rwhp 510rwtq at only 5.5#s of boost Was wondering with a cowl hood will these be adaptable to an F-Body? I dont see why not, and all that power behing a solid axle car is gonna be real fun. Forged motor with 16# good bye Cobras.

No, because the engine sits too far under the actual cowl. You'd have to cut up the cowl and most likely remove the windshield wipers to fit it.

I'm sure you are referring to this. Note that this guy had a baseline of 380rwhp w/stock manifolds and exhaust, so obviously he was running a blower cam and most likely heads.

2,4L might work w/modded cowl like the pending Maggies, but doubt the 3,3L would fit at all. Guess its time to get specs from the KB Site, compare to the Maggies externals. Also depends on how the manifold is set up, if its off-set or not.

even without seeing a picture of it, i doubt there will be a way to mount this on an f-body without hacking some stuff up. aka goodbye stock cowl and possibly bye bye windshield wipers.

but this has already been said in this thread. any reason you didn't believe him?

What about a GTO. Im sure a Kenne Belle could get this 3800+ vehicle moving. Does the engine sit back on these too?

Damn, can u imagine a WS6 shrieking with that KB on? It'd be the scariest thing to behold, and totally badass. If it were possible to put on an fbody, I'd definately be taking out a loan. If only the wipers didn't come off though, anything else I can handle. I just hate that centrifigal supercharger sound.

The cobra's motor was supposedly dropped down to fit the blower, or so I heard, and I was thinking that if maybe a custom k-member was made for an f-body, it would be possible. The motor needs only maybe an 1" - 1 1/2" to clear. Imagine a blowzilla LS1. That to me would be worth the price of a expensive *** k-member.

will this fit a z06, my dad is thinking about getting a 03 z06, and wants it to be a monster...im guessing a stock z06 will make about the same power with LT's

The KB will for sure fit the Z06, you need a new hood though

It'll work on a GTO but you may need to get a hood too. The Magnuson's sit in there just fine but I've heard that they have heating issues, too hot under the hood.

actually, thats one of the smartest things ive heard in a while, but the thing is, droping the engine would change the entire drivetrain setup. you would have to fabricate alot more than just a new k-member....oh well. good thought tho.

actually just fab some solid motor mounts that lower the engine.. lots cheaper then getting someone to fab up a kmember... no i dont think it would change the entire drivetrain setup. but stuff like the headers might have to be modified
