Oh and FWIW, I was very skeptical of the STS but Brent is flying. I also saw Angie's personal car with the STS and it was nicely packaged.

Raceprep- nice numbers. I wouldnt compare sts with n2o vehicles when comparing ET/mph though. Dont forget, as soon as n2o hits its instant power and tq the whole way. The turbo needs to build boost (atleast in first gear). Just wanted to add that...

Very true, the only reason I did was the traction issue, he couldn't hook it up with the N2O and I have almost 400lbft @ like 3800 so I figured it to be a wash, not to mention you can't hit the spray till 3000 safely. We will see i should get some time at the track soon! Hopefully I can make an F-body with the STS as fast as some of the GTO's around here!

I look forward to seeing some good results. I only posted the comment about n2o because you were leaving yourself open for a "which power adder" arguement...

The way this car is setup you can put it back to 100% stock and still do better then a 2.1.
With the 4000 stall converter and a good set of gears he will achieve his goals. The converter will really make the car move out of the whole and help build boost fast.
He is making full boost by 3000RPM's ever launched a A5 with a bigger stall? 3000RPM's is blown in less then .5 seconds. Compairing N20 and Turbo is different but is a good arguement. The N20 car isn't gonna pull like the Turbo through the traps either so there is where some time is made up.

Take .29 from that and you have a 1.7 60' which is very doable in street trim and you will be in the 11.30's with less power than I have to the wheels. Now I understand I need to 60' a 1.7 ish to accomplish this but there is a glide with a brake and 4000 stall, ETstreets, and skinnies up front and draglites all around coming soon!! It would be fun to try for 10's with only like 2 more lbs of boost!

-Bryan
WIth the glide, you wont get your goals sooo fast....It will take time to build boost and with a 1.76 first gear without a good two step i dont see you getting into full boost with that setup on the brake. Just my .02. Ive had far too many bad experiences with rear setup cars to give 2 ***** about them now...They had their chance to prive to me they were worthy and for every 1 out there that COULD be good there is 20-30 more shitty ones.

I still stand by my 2.1 60 ft prediction as well 1st time out.

Ill wager it wont do better then a 2.1 60 100% stock...Thats pretty much what i was basing my opinions on
A 6 speed car was the worst though..lol Car would not spin the tires...Goodyear GSC's....I know...I prepped the track and that lane good! Too much RPM and it would spin...dead hook the car it would fall on its face and not build boost til damn near the 330 ft marker...NO LIE! God Honest truth!!!!

Because you always come in an bash the sts kit, then you say you dont care about it...yet it always seems to peak your interest.

A person cant offer his opinion and factual info to steer someone away from a major f-up??? I was wondering if you could be my guidance counselor or my guardian since you care sooo much about what I have to say. Thanks for following me.

V6 Bird, you must have missed this in the previous STS thread you were bashing in.

I'm #407 9 psi in 1st, 11psi in 2nd - 3rd, 13psi in 4th, i need a stronger spring.
90 degrees that night

Race-Prep, I can't wait to see what kind of times you make with that setup. It should work very well. Big stall + turbo = weeee! Ignore guys like V6 Bird who like to bash. They are just ignorant.

I have seen 100% stock cars run in the low 1.9's you just need to know how to drive...

-Bryan

P.S. -Zombie thanks for the good words I appreciate the help, some people just can't leave anyone to thier opinions and must shove theirs down our throats.
