I read on one of those sites that intercooled cars can't spray the mix before the intercooler cause it will condense in the intercooler. (My car is intercooled but typically runs at high temps.) So, does that mean I would inject after the intercooler or just spray the mix on to the intercooler and allow the heat to dissipate via evaporation?
quote from site: "What if my engine has an intercooler?: We do not suggest injecting water before the turbo in an intercooled application, as most of the water will condense out at the intercooler. However, our system works great as an auxillary sprayer to increase the efficiency of your intercooler. In this application, water (add ice if you wish) is sprayed on the exterior of the intercooler to carry away the heat. Simple, easy, and effective. Subaru WRX rally cars use the same type of sprayer on their intercooler (but I bet it cost more).
I would have emailed the dude from the site but, there was no email mentioned thru out the site.
Thanks,
Crystal
Im going to be using about max of 12psi on my setup. 10psi will be my normal setting, and 12psi will be my "track" days. however im thinking of having the water/methanoal kick in at about 6-8psi. would this hurt anything? im not using it as a fuel additive as i am for detonation prevention and cooler IAT's.
not sure how hard it would be to tune it like that and wether it has to be tuned with it?
any help with this would be awsome. again, this is just a temp until i get a snow performance later, but iwould like to at least use the AEM injection system. Everything is hooked up just the controller isnt working.
im only looking at 10-12psi at the most so im thinking of having it turn on at 6psi
