Anyone using a 4" FMIC?
I've been searching and only found a few posts about the FMIC sizes. I found some on Ebay, measuring 31"x12"x4" but wasn't sure if the 4" would fit or not.
Is this the one (budget) everyone is using or is it the 3" of the same length and height.
Is there anyone that will make a kit with a budget intercooler that will support a 408 with an F-1?
Thanks in advance.

Some of us including me are using the 3" but there are also people here who have gone with the 4" I did the front plate cut out ant removed my bumper support and have tons of room. Mine is mounted at the end of the frame rails and I am now in the process of putting it all back together. It looks like I could have fit anything in there as far as the thickness goes. I dont know how the procharger plumbing runs but most guys can throw something together with a pile of U and J bends and some couplers using just a cutoff saw

Im using a 24x12x4 core l picked up locally. It's mounted in the nose of my rx7 so i don't see why you wouldn't have room.
This ebay deal looks to be the same as mine.

Yes, and No.
More expensive cores are claimed to be more efficient. ...Meaning they cool/flow better with low pressure drop. How much better? That is hard to say. I don't know of anyone preforming back to back tests of an expensive core vs a comparible ebay special.
It's really your call. I paid $150 for that intercooler new with end tanks vs $500 ish for a core i'd have to make end tanks for. I don't see how I'm able to go wrong trying it. If i don't like it I can sell if for more than i originally paid.
After i get the car running i'll do some logging and maybe post some before and after temperatures.
