Default Lots of bent pushrods

I was changing the springs and pushrods on the gto to eliminate valve float anyway, but I thought I might have a bent pushrod from a couple of missed shifts that spiked the motor to 6800 rpm. Turns out I only found 1 pushrod that didn't show at least a slight warpage. A couple of them were bent enough to see without even using a straightedge. I can't wait to see how it pulls on the high side without valve float, but the damn rain won't quit.

Nope, no bent valves. The factory pushrods on ls-1's suck, I just don't like to replace unbroken parts. I figured I might as well see what 6500-7000rpm would do on the new gto valvetrain. Apparently it does the same thing it did on the camaro valvetrains. I'm currently in the process of seeing how much boost it takes to grenade a stock bottom end. It looks like I am going to have to run meth injection to break a bottom end part. I seem to be at the breakeven point at 12 lbs. of boost. If I run more boost on pump gas, I have to lower the timing to much to gain any power. Maybe with some meth and nitromethane I can send some pistons through the hood so I have a reason to buy a banshee hood.

Ya add some meth to that and youll have no issue makin 700 HP for a little while. It definatly will break but it will definatly be fun also. That is waht i am doing. As soon as my clutch gets here ill be shootin for somewhere near that on the meth. GL

To the guy from marietta, PM me, I have spare parts laying around from three trucks and a gto if you need any stock stuff. I'm in Stockbridge. And yes, I do usually like to break parts, because I was brought up with the idea that if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Since I like to fix things, I have to break them first.

Default meth

If you run enough meth and have proper tuning, it will be harder to break than you think. Imo

I know how hard they are to break. Just ask the poor little 4.8 in my work truck that got stuck on the wrong side of a twin screw.
