Don't know, but if you have any critical component fail it can bring others down with it! If I were you, I'd stick to all genuine well-known name brands.

The wastegate size depends on how much boost you want to run. Smaller gates should cut it as long as you are planning a good deal of boost. It's when you are running low boost numbers (especially with a large turbine) that you will start running into problems.

Not that I can think of... but I would defer that question to turbo experts... nothing I can think of at the moment!

i would think that if you had an oversized wastegate, wouldnt it either:

1. leak boost since its only meant for certain psi levels(in terms of lbs)

2. the opposite, it wouldnt open up properly because the spring pressure is too much(basically defeating the purpose of the WG)

i dont know how they work, but I know you need to get one specifically for the amount of boost you will be running. Otherwise everyone would just go large and not worry about it.

Plus im sure boost creep would have something else to do with the decision.

There are going to be zero problems from running "too big" of a wastegate. Having "too big" of a wastegate is like having too much power, too big of a downpipe (Save for clearance/weight/practicality concerns, so don't jump on me for this example :p) or too much traction, they just don't exist. You can get springs for 44mm tial wastegates as low as 3 psi, there really isn't any limit for "too big" of a wastegate.

The only reason everyone doesn't just "go large" is because not everyone has the funds or the funding to throw 700+ dollars away on an HKS GT gate when something like a 44mm tial is capable of controlling boost on most setups.
