Default Vortech Blower w/ Aftercooler Question

I am about to install my Vortech Blower aftercooler set-up I have purchased. I am just wondering if there is a huge difference between the 98 setup and 01 setup. This supercharger was off an 2001 camaro and was wondeing if I was going to be a huge difference for my 98. Was not to sure what the difference was according to vortech. Thanks for your guys help.

The kit itself should be the same the difference will be in the tuning, the MAF on the 98s doesn`t read air flow high enough for FI. As long as you get it tuned by someone experienced with tuning FI LS1 cars you should be fine. You will probably need at least a Walbro 340 intank, 50lb or 60lb injectors and a boost referenced FPR(fuel presure regulator) with heads/cam and 10-15lbs of boost .

the 2001 kit does not have the EGR relocation kit, that the 98 kit would have had, the rest should interchange.

In his sig he says he has a ZO6 intake/heads(LS6), so the EGR would aready be changed. When are you gonna get your car going Ryan?

I had a soon to be coworker talking crap today, so I set a date, November 31, my car will be boosted, and tuned.

If it is the vortech, or doing turbo's, that is undecided, but it won't be NA on that date.

yeah the only difference between the two kits should be the EGR relocation kit.

just remove it and plug off your intake EGR hole, or get a LS6 intake
