Lol dustin you said EXACTLY what i was gonna say. They gotta be at 150% duty cycle lol. About ready to explode. And those rear wheels look to have about a 8" backset lol. That car is HAWT.
I wonder why he didnt go with a 427 to kinda give a old car feel to teh engine. Its obvious money was not the reason.
What compression yall figure its got with flat top pistons and akin 1021 hp at only 16 psi on a 389? That seems aweful for HP for 16 psi. I would imagine that the pistons being flat top prolyl giuve it quite a bit of a compression ratio. Prolly a ton of advance and race gas is a must. Awesome pics!

Maybe that's 1021hp at the flywheel, not at the rear wheels? That does seem like a lot for 65lb injectors... unless he has 16 of them hahahaha

The car was originally built by Mark Stielow. Apparently it's new owner had Wheel to Wheel fab in the hair dryers...here's a dyno run of the car.

Nice car, but that would suck to not be able to say you did anything yourself. Isn't that part of having a nice car like that.... being able to show off your accomplishments, NOT how big your wallet is.

Old news, but hadn't heard an update in a long time. Beautiful car.

The car shipped this morning back to California. It will be at "Hot August nights".
The original engine in the car was a 400ci na engine we built for Mark Stielow. The turbo engines ci was based on the 91 octane fuel in California and the dish/cc combo that was needed to get 8-1 compression ratio.
The car was built to be driven. It has run the last two power tour long hauls with the turbo engine. Freeway driving is a blast. 70mph to 140mph is almost better than sex!
