Well on the stock motor you can get quite a bit of power. I have the STS kit with the GT67 (81mm housing) On my bone stock 98 LS1 I made 420 torque and 407 horse on 5psi. to the wheels. My friends car has the same kit I have and he has a stock 2000 TA motor with mild ported old school stage 1 heads and a front mount intercooler. On 5 1/2 psi. hes making 480-485 torque and like 455ish horse, sorry I don't remember exactly. If you can put on some 6.0 heads you can drop the compression enough to run 8-12psi. or even higher boost with a good tune.

It is best to get the intake temp. down. The cooler the charge of the air goin into the cylinders the more power you put out and the less stress you put on the cylinder sleeves and pistons, so you can run a little more boost with the motor.

On 5psi and a good tune you'll be fine. But when you decide to run more boost (and you will want too haha) Synergy Motorsports make a great IC kit. You can call em, there in the Bay Area, CA (510)7963749 You'll want to
(510)SYNERGY

talk to Rick or Shawn. Oh and if you decide to go with the GT67 or bigger I suggest gettin the Meth kit as well from STS. It's denatured alcohol that goes in your windshield wiper resivoir and a pump sprays it into the intake pipe. It cools your air temp. and other motor parts and acts as an octane boost. It's just a bit teadious(spelling?) getting it right with the tune.

i was doing some more research and found that it is recommended to have a blow off valve on manuals, but it only stated availability in 9 or11 psi. i have a T56 so i was wondering if i would need it only running 5psi. i was also wondering if the kit would fit well under a third gen.
