Default i would have expected more

found this video on some local ricer site
but shows the ohio boys getting their formula dynoed.
i hope the dyno could only read up to 1200rwhp and they pegged it otherwise im disapointed
http://video.ls1tech.com/Player.aspx...0-BF08228A2B5F
they say it got 1200, was it pegged?
might give the video a few seconds to convert i just uploaded it.

That sounds about right to me. The engine made 14XX at the flywheel on 24-25 psi. 1200 is a ton of power at the wheels. 178 mph in a quarter mile is the most important thing for Mike and Steve! Of course a 7 second slip would be good also!

on our current motor we have enough trouble getting the car down the track at 25psi, plus we dont believe our turbo will support 30psi all the way down the track, the 1200+ dyno pull peaked at 27psi but was only reved to 6800.

ya the way it was going down the track at norwalk that time, when you had to keep lifting due to traction problems, i dont think not enough power is the problem. Just keep tuning that suspension

Total confusion by your post smokin.....what ARE you smoking? 1200RWHP

Guess all the cars in your are make that kind of powahhhh?? Only a handful of cars can do that up here so I guess thats why I'm still shocked to see a car make that much power.

Nice video and killer bird Ohio Boys.

with 178mph traps it sould be making more, like turley said though they wernt running at their max there, and somebody told me that the dyno was only calibrated to 1200 that day, so i do think they pegged it.
looking at some HP calculators i guess 1200rwhp with 3300lbs is around 1260ish so i guess thats in the balpark, i just think they have more power on tap then that.
