Default FMU selection help....

Ok, first off, this is for my 3.8 camaro that i turbocharged. So please don't kill me, I just would like some intellegent help. I've been using 36lb accel injectors and HPTuners to try to tune, but its a pain in the neck to get it right by just playing with the MAF tables since they don't offer 2 bar speed density for us yet. I was thinking of just putting my OEM injectors back in and then using an FMU. What ratio FMU should I get for use with those injectors? I think they are 21 lbs/hr. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

are you maxing out your maf?

did you alter the flow rates for the 36# injectors in the injector section.

it should be possible if you able to provide the correct injector values for the tune, and make sure your commanded air fuel = what your seeing with the wideband.

FMU = a bandaid.

Granted my pinions are a little biased, but whenever a control system is not in control, your sacrificing reliability.

Ryan, I agree about the FMU being a bandaid. I'd love to get it right with the injectors, but it seemed like I was always running rich while cruising even when I got the injectors fairly dialed in. I was seeing 12.9 on the wideband while cruising. Could this be because one of my O2's wasn't reading correctly? In hptuners one o2 was cycling nicely but the other would be up, then down, then up....which is a symptom of a shot O2. Could this have been why I was running rich at cruise? If so that would solve a world of problems. Thanks for replying.

I have seen cars not even go closed loop when the fueling was so far off.

I would reccomend switching sides with the sensors, and seeing how that helps the problem.

Can you e-mail me a copy of your stock bin, and your modified bin file and I can take a look at it, see if there is anything that stands out. ryan212@aol.com

I run a 3" maf in blow thru on the DSM...

the MAF's on our cars are already blow through, they're in the TB. For now I'm good with my draw through on the eclipse, I'm happy with my ~300awhp.
