Exclamation Guys, this isn't a CLASSIFIEDS forum...

Please everyone, this is a tech forum. If you have parts or cars for sale, please post them in the proper classifieds forums that we provide on the site.

Thanks

I do agree with you ,but in their deffence I think they are just looking for a more specifice target by posting them in here Tony etc... Maybe they should post a link to the ad in the FS section what do you think about that? Just a thought.

Targetted audience or not, this isn't the place for those ads. FI guys can scan the classifieds forums just like everyone else can. I do it several times a day

Just had to move 3 threads selling or looking for things, so this gets sticky status now!

I know it's an old subject, but I have a question below..

I have been guilty of this, my apologies.. The reason I did this is the items I was selling were specifically, specialty items for a FI application, and I knew I would reach many more people going through the FI forum, as not everyone goes through the Parts Sale forum, or even knows they are in the market for something like this. Some people buy things not knowing they want or need it, hence they are not looking for it in the parts forum..

I would like to re-ask the question earlier asked. Can someone post a link in the FI forum that directs you to the Parts Forum, or another forum? Subject being "Complete Twin Turbo kit for Sale, only $1,500.. Please click link below".. The link will be directed to the parts forum of LS1Tech..

Is something like this acceptable? Wouldn't something like this be the same as, "Nine Ball is selling his bad *** car, check it out!! Click link"

Just wondering.

Clint,

I usually let a link or a FS ad go once (even though I am really not supposed to), I just dont like to see TTTs or bumps for 'for sale' stuff here. If it happens to be bumped up by peple discussing it or saying 'good deal' thats ok to a point. I understand that most FI guys dont look at the for sale section every 30 minutes and stuff gets buried pretty quick there so I will usually let it go one time, others wont.

How about a sticky thread up top where you would put a link to a forced induction part in the for sale section. I check the for sale section once in a blue moon but I would always check what was for sale if there was a link from the FI section.

Not a bad idea but no one ever reads the stickies, as evident by the number of FS posts that pop up here

Better solution would be to break up the FS forums into more specific sub-forums and include FI parts as one of them, there is a poll up there (another sticky) and if enough people wanted it done it would happen but it seems to have stalled a while back..

i know if there was an FI specific classifides i would check it very often.. i hardly ever go to the regular one.

would be something no board has done before.

ls2-7 section, for sale/wanted for those specific parts
ls1-6 own f/s section
fi, own f/s section
bolt ons, own f/s section etc.

helps people find what they are looking for.

Agree 100%. The classifieds is so hard to sell stuff because your ad will be on page 2 in an hour. Be nice to be able to split it up into sections like MM said. Also would make things easier to find.

I'd vote for a FI specific classified section...the other f/s moves too fast and is very cluttered.....I need some used parts for another build

WG,BOV etc.....

I think the category for Classifieds should be broken up into something along the lines of "Forced Induction cars F/S" "Forged Internals cars for sale" and then "misc. cars for sale".......im sure theres a reason why its not like that, but i think there should be some break between classifieds just to kinda get things in order and would be more time efficent when searching for a more specific car IS ANYBODY WITH ME ON THIS?

I agree 100%...I do check it very often and stuff seriously is down to the bottom of the page in a matter of 20 or 30 minutes...That makes it hard to sell or buy something unless you're constantly checking it...
