Which turbo kit?
I tired making a poll, but it wasn't working so I'll just do it this way.
This firday I'll be looking to buy a kit, but I still don't know which to get. Here are my options:
PTK- this kit looks great, but IMO is way too expensive.
Pham/GZM- Good price, but pipes run under the K-member, apparently also has some oiling problems.
Hi-Flow- So far it looks good, but who knows when it'll be ready?
TTi Street- Log manifolds, it's also very pricy for what it is.
Used Kit- Usually incomplete, if I could get a TT kit I would be all over it though.
I'm not getting the STS, so don't bother asking, and unnless I can get a D1sc with a fmic for around the price of these kits, thats not happening either. The way I see it I dont really have alot of choices. I either have to pay out the ***, or 'settle' for a lesser kit. Then we have Hi-Flow, which I would have to wait for... I really dunno.

GZM is nice to for the money, as for the oil issue I think I fixed mine. I made a hard pipe/rubber line setup and for the last few days I really been beating on the car and no smoke at all.
Hi-flow I know nothing about.
But if you were to go GZM you would have alot of money left over to mod.

Well i doubt the GZM kit puts the turbo in a different spot then the phamspeed, and I had no issue with my oiling. Never had the backin up oil issue that others had. The only thing that sucked was that the hose that he gave with teh kit was WAY to flimsy. When ya torqued down on it to make it stay on teh oil pan it would rip.
I would definatly vote for the Phamsped kit as it is alot cheaper adn works jsut as well if not better(better then a log).
That Hi-Flow one looks bad ***. If that and the pham were available at the same time i would have gotten teh HI-Flow as i love the location of the turbo. GL man

Thats my problem. I'm fairly sure that in the end it's going to be between pham/GZM and Hi-Flo, but Hi-Flo hasn't said when their kit will be ready yet. I Would rather have their kit over Phams/GZM based on turbo location and clearence, but I don't know how long I can wait.

plus with the Hiflow you get true headers with it.
GZM is in trouble in my opnion, as their new intercooled kit is 4k, and the Hiflo is 4k. So which one are you going to buy? One that is a full kit with headers all above the K member, or one that is hanging low and reusing your stock manifolds,
The way I see it, hold off until Hiflow is done making their kit, and either buy it, or wait for GZpham to reduce their pricing.
The original pham budget was great as it was a budget kit and cost around 2300, now that its 4k I just dont see as big a market, especially if Hiflow comes through as promised

^ I concur.
While I do agree with MM, I can't justify the extra +$1,500 with PTK, even though it is clearly the best of these kits (We'll have to wait and see vs Hi-Flo).

I have the Turbo Tech T-76 . Yes It cost a good amount but I think you get what you pay for to.
Mine with a bone stock motor and 9# boost made 429 rwh and 500 rwt. and it's a auto. 323 rear.
Good luck with your choice.

I'd say it's between PTK and Hi-Flo. Does anybody here know what the clearance issues are between the TTi race and street kits? Are their kits below or above the K-member? If above, I'd throw them in the constructive dilemma as well.
IMO, I'm not saying they're bad kits, but personally, I would not get anything under the K-member. I've seen pics of the Phamspeed in action and it performs excellently with little to no complaints from owners. However, those pipes are too low. You can only get away with it IF you have a stock height ride. IMO, stock height Fbods don't look too good, too much gap between tire and fender... And that's with stock wheels and tires! Anyway, so maybe among Hi-Flo, PTK, and TTi, TTi depending on the clearance concern for me. Also, every TTi owner I've ever read here loves their kit. That's a good sign, too.

Do you have to move/lose anything with any of these kits (i.e. power steering, AC, etc)? I was going to make a thread about this question but it seems fit here. I will probably be making my choice on these factors too.

Yes with our kit you don't have to relocate everything under the sun. You get true headers and the system will support 1100hp with a 76GTS, but new turbos are coming on the horizon . Also we are working on a DIY TT kit using the most dependable LS1 kit ever built which was by far the Incon system.

Dont let $1500 sway ya... thats a drop in the bucket when the supporting parts are added into the mix. Alot more $ to do it twice or be unhappy is worse.
Hi-Flow looks like a good gamble, but it is a gamble at the moment, no one can say different.
TTi is proven, Pham really isnt yet
Used..not much out there...

Didn't you have to remove your A/C for this setup?
