STS IAT location?
STS IAT location? Where is the IAT location on an Fbody LS1 with an STS kit?
Anybody have a pic? I just dont see a spot for it and the instructions I have are LT1 and done on a black-n-white copy machine so NONE of the pics are visible.
Looks to me as if they just tie it up somewhere and dont use it?

I'm gonna try to say this right...On my LS1 it's located on the charge pipe right after the silicone elbow connected to the throttlebody. And since a picture is worth a thousand words I've attached one

Well I'll be a S.O.B.! I dont have the hole in that pipe. It's where I would have expected it to be though. Is it the standard LS1 IAT that pushes in or a threaded unit? Thanks for the pic and info.

Ok, I had my STS kit installed so I'm not sure how it came from STS.
But it sure looks as if STS included either a grommet for the IAT sensor to fit into, or the pipe may have come with the sensor installed. I dunno, maybe someone who has done the install themselves can chime in.
Here's a closer picture of the sensor install location, not the best angle but hopefully it will be of benefit.
Well my IAT is now in the same pipe and spot as yours. I drilled a slightly smaller hole into the pipe than what was in the airbox. That accounts for not being flat then used a bit of sealant and popped that sucker in. I'm letting it setup overnight before reinstalling it. It was a "FIT" but not tight enough to cut the grommet, problem solved. THX again!
