Its the same you can put on whatever bov you want. Your not going to get the woosh sound when shifting because you don't take your foot off the gas. The throttle stays wide open in an auto wheras in an m6 you let off and shift. The bov only opens as the throttle closes. Anybody else correct me if I'm wrong, but thats how it was in my 84 SVO.

You are correct sir. Only time ya get BOV noises is when teh intake has vacum and it opens the BOV to prevent alot of pressure backed up against the turbo. GL

Which, in an automatic, is not very often. We, M6 guys, do it 'cuz we have no choice letting of the gas... We can't go around powershifting all the time everywhere unless we want our trannies to die. Automatic=easy, press gas pass the 1/4 mile mark press brakes. I wouldn't get a BOV in an A4.

I have a Tial 50mm on my auto car and love it. Don't hear it often enough, but I like it when I do. But from a more practical stand point, there will be much less wear and tear over time on your turbo(s) if you have one, auto or manual.

I have a Tial 50mm on my auto car too.

From a functional standpoint, my intake pipe still gets blown apart sometimes but without that BOV it would happen every time I sharply lifted off the throttle under boost.

As far as sound, I don't like it, super quiet which is not really my style. I can tell when it goes off but its nothing like most of the common bovs imports run, which are not nearly as functional.

Yeah, roughly 50 MPH, part throttle... that clip was taken well before it was fully tuned.

Mine seems to make more noise for longer than that one does, but not much.

Keep in mind, that was ~5 or 6psi and maybe 3500 RPM max.

That can be adjusted by spring preload on some BOV's

The Tial doesnt have a horn and It has multiple ports so it is not really made to sound off. Also if you recirculate it will also be alot quieter as compared to going to atmosphere.
Call Jose at Forced Inductions, he said he just switch over to something that was really loud but I cant remember what kind it was.

so what about when you let off the gas and your stompin the brake pedal to stop? arnt you closing the TB making the turbo work against the pressure? wouldnt a BOV save ur turbo on both a M6/A4 ??

Yup. It's important in an A4 but necessary in an M6. That's the way I see it. However, if I owned an A4, I wouldn't rush to get it... Unless money isn't an issue, of course.

TurboSmart Megasonic.

I would love to hear this thing. Has anybody?

If anyone REALLY wants more volume, I'm sure it's not too hard to rig the Tial to do so a little bit.
