Default STS kit what else?

I have a friend here in down that is an STS dealer!
Here is the invatory list so far

- T-67 Turbo
- Methenol kit
- 42lbs injectors
- TaIL BOV (im not too sure what one yet 9 or 11)
- Walboro fuel pump
- Boost controller (switch betweek 5 and 15PSI)
- NGK TR-6 ( I think thoes are the best ones for turbos)

What else should I get? As far a gauges I should only need a boost and wideband right? I dont need a wideband tuner kit do i? Should I get a tuner or have a shop do it? sorry im new to all of this and I have been using the search button

i think you could use more reading up on things....unless ur leaving out stuff.....ie im taking it that your motor is stock with a stock compression ratio....so figure 10-10.2:1.And ur going to push 15psi through it,thats rather difficult to believe. u are going to want a fuel pressure gauge as well.I see you have a meth kit listed too,if thats ur only form of cooling on a stock motor its going to be tough to get 15#s.Good luck with that though.

lol NO WAY im not going to push 15PSI!!! that would = instant death to my ls1. I've seen stock LS1's with about 7.5-8.5psi. then once im bored with that i can low the compression in my morot and get more PSI. But for now im happy with 7-8psi just wannna make sure I have all the stuff

Ah,you should have explained better.u said under your boost controller that you were going to "switch betweek 5 and 15PSI" ie low boost and high boost was the way you made it sound

Should that be all I need then? Do I need a wideband kit or just the gauge?

Well really ya dont need a wideband o2 unless you plan on tuning ya self. When you go to a dyno tuner they have all teh necessary stuff to tune it. The wideband is nice but not needed.
With meth you should be fine at 10 psi. Just make sure you get a good amt of it in there. GL man

Is the walboro fuel pump ok? or are there better ones out there? I think Ive been hearing good stuff from " racetronics" I dont know if thats the name or not. I also saw and other post about upgrading some engine components.

Doing the install yourself will save you some coin. I had mine installed with some custom work by a local shop and sponser (Synergy Motorsports). So I'm into my setup a little bit more. On top of the upgrades you mentioned I would highly recommend the upgraded turbo (at least a GT67), valvesprings (918's), chromoly pushrods, FMIC, and most importantly a dyno tune by a reputable local tuner.
END QUOTE

Where and what valvesprings and what pushrobs are good to get? and where from?

Contact Xtreme Motorsports in Tempe Az. Since you are in Tuscon. They have done alot with the STS kit. They are a supporting vendor.

I have the Racetronix fuel pump and 42# injectors. You are going to be running out of injector at 8 psi. I would also suggest at least upgrading the valve springs as well. You may want to go with 60# injectors from the get go. If I had to do it again, that's what I would do.

At least the GT-67 turbo upgrade (Trust me you will want to up the boost), injectors, fuel system upgrade, fuel and boost pressure gauges, valvesprings (918's), chromoloy pushrods. tr6 spark plugs, and most importantly a dyno tune to keep it all together. Heck just look at some of the signatures here, between Longrange4u and NYSS Guy, you are pretty much covered

hey, does anyone run a f13 cam on a 114 lsa as a turbo cam for the sts turbo kit? im the type that hates to do things twice, and i plan on getting a sts turbo, but not for a long time, but im going to be going with a f13 cam, upgraded valve train, and longtubes at the moment...
