I like the plain Copper Champions. I do a little work on rounding down the electrode with a file, maybe 5 minutes per plug, gap 'em at .035" and you're good to go.

Plus, they're cheap, so you can change them for $10, less on sale.

I'm running the RC9YC, which is 2 steps cooler than stock. No fouling or other drama.

I have 2 friends with SS Camaros, blown (1 vorthech, 1 ATI) and they both use the same type Champions.

NGK BR8ES or BR7ES depending on heat range. I have had good results with the non projected tip plugs on forced induction.. A projected tip would be BPR8ES.

seriously, they rule in FI apps, expensive per plug, but worth it.

I've heard these plug's only advantage is that they are more consistent over very high mileages, like 100,000+. I know their conductor is very small compared the the copper Champions. Why do the major blower companies recommend against the platinum and exotic metal plugs, at the same time they recommend adding an MSD ignition (or other CD)?

I may be missing something serious but I don't see why the iridium's rule in FI, and denso in particular for that matter. Any facts appreciated.

The BAD thing about platinum plugs is the tips fall off & get wedged in your combustion chamber. The good thing about Iridiums is they have a much better misfire rate. Does that justify $8-10 a plug? You be the judge. I'll be running TR6s.....

I would be careful, we have seen noting but problems with the iridiums, they fail under severe loads and they also cause detonation problems, we have been able to give quite a bit more timing and gain SIGNIFICANT power in forced induction engines by going with the standard copper plugs like the RC9YC.

FIXED.

If you are using any sort of power adder, I recommend a NON projected tip at least 2 steps colder like the Champion Rc9yc's mentioned.

I personally run NGK R5671A-8's in my motor NA and 9's for the juice.
