Default Pulley size on D1SC??

I just installed my prochager on my car. Bought the D1SC with 8lb. Car is stock except for catback, but I am only making 4lbs of boost. Pulley size is 4.75. Does anyone know if this is the correct pulley? Bought the whole kit new so I think maybe they sent wrong size pulley? Any info would be appreciated.

That should be the correct pulley size for 8 psi on a d-1sc, I just tried to measure mine (on the car and in a tight spot) and I measured it at a little under 5 in. I do remember that the same size pulley that makes 8psi on a d-1 only makes 5 psi on the p-1. Recheck all of your hose clamps to make sure they're not leaking, and make sure your belt is not slipping. Good luck

If you have the D-1SC with the eight rib pulley, the largest pulley size available is 4.50". On a basically stock engine, this will get you at least 8 lbs of boost. Bob

I have the 8-rib set up and the pulley was marked 4.75. There doesnt appear to be any belt slippage and all the clamps are tight, but so far all I am getting is 4 lbs of boost.

That is strange that you have a 4.75" pulley. I must be wrong, but I was thinking the 4.50" pulley was the largest size available with the eight rib kit.

I wonder if you are losing boost through the surge valve. You might want to check it out, as you should be making a lot more boost than what you are seeing. I would also check to make sure your boost gauge is correct, you might want to borrow one. Bob

Boost gauge I used was brand new, and I tried disconnecting the vacum line to the surge valve to be sure it was closed. Still only got four pounds. Is it possible they just sent wrong size pulley with the kit?

I am runing the same crank and a 3.7, seeing a good 8 to 9. With stock cam 1.8 rockers and full headers and cat back. Which all plays in the final pressure obtained.

The boost gauge was new and the power is down too far for it to be making 8PSI.
