Is a stage II Buick block considered an aftermarket block even though it's made by Buick?

They used the tundra motor in their celica at the time. Not sure what the rules were at that time though. The engine though is pretty much indestructible. Almost as bulletproof as the mid 90's nissan V8.

you talk about destroking the motor, how would they know if you weren't destroked unless they make you tear down the motor in front of them..

what car are you running?

jose,
what kind of cars did the Nissan V8 come in? also how much is it to destroke it, as im guessing it above 3.5l in stock form.

Hell you should go get one of those ferraris, twin turbo v12 less than 3.0l

Ed, I'll send it to you through an e-mail. As for destroking, yes you will have to have a crank made for it. Their are 3 companies out there that do billet custom cranks. Scat is one, if you know the right guys, Moldex, and I will have to dig up the other. Look to spend around 3000 for the crank.

As for the V12....we would but we are limited to 3.5L's and 6 cyilnder max.

How about the 3.4 TDC from the early 90's? With only a different cam grind, I'll bet you could see close to 300hp N/A -- just imagine building one and turbocharging it. I would like to build one someday -- maybe put it in my Fiero when I get tired of the Quad 4.
