Default SDCE and Shims

Just wondering what everyone used to get the blower aligned. Trying to figure out what to start with.

2 .125 shims and 1 machine grade washer. For alignment you can make the tool they suggest or improvise. I used a compass I had for carpentry work, the part where the pencil goes was square and machined so I put it on the bracket and adjusted the pointer to the center of the protruding ridge on the blower pulley. Then just turned it 180 to the crank pully to see the corresponding ridge.

Its really only 1/4" or so give or take, and its reliable, and no tension adjustment ever.

Well lost my first belt.

SDCE supplied a shim that went under the blower pulley. Do I need to run the ATI shim and the SDCE shim? Or just the SDCE shim??

Not to be a jackass but wow your just now getting your car finished? Its been at least 1 1/2 years since your probs started with Jay with the heads. That makes me feel better about my Vortech car still not being finished.

It took a couple of weeks. They usually wait till they have alot before making them. And that is usually once a month.
