If this car ever goes back into a more streetable form it'll be getting a Gear Vendor's OD.
Wonder how a 4L80-E compares to a TH-350+Gear Vendor's OD in strength, weight, efficiency, and $$$?
still new and parts are few and $$$$$ big time
go with a TH400 and a GV OD...dont ever have an issue again <img src="images/icons/smile.gif" border="0">

I would bet alot of the parts in the 4l80 and th400 are one in the same. When the 4l80 debuted in the 454ss it was basically just a th400 with an overdrive added.
<strong>Ok, will a 4L80 physically fit or will the tranny tunnel have to opened up some? I've heard it wont fit, but I've heard it does.

I'm not sure on the fitment issues, I'm sure the trans is a few inches longer than a th400??
