This ones a bit out there but you did say you are not looking for a daily driver.

I am running a solid roller in my blown 402, 280/288 @112 on the last run at @ 22 psi in setup on pump gas we made 980 rwhp @ 6800 RPM.

I had swapped my first cam 258/263 @112 for the above and we were making power to 7200 rpm.

I hope to be running this new cam again tonight and settup tune to turn more psi and we should be making power over 7500 rpm

If you can compare solid vs roller even slightly, my existing cam doesnt seem too far away from that as far as total duration is concerned..

From cam card, duration at 0.006" is 281.8/287.4

Does that AU car ever make passes or is it some sort of show car? I would hope you'd make that power, the F3R is used on 7 second cars.

John

I have set the car for two major shows here one at the end October and the other early January. These are specific car shows and we are hoping to achieve well over 1200 rwhp on pump gas the setup is capable but as you would be aware when you push the limits on pump gas who knows .

The car will be set for racing after that and my goal is for an 8 sec pass in street trim. The power is there for that now and it has been a struggle not to go racing again.

I raced this car all last year in NA form into a 10 and this one will be racing in Feb.

John you would also be aware that this is on a DD dyno so the 980 rwhp is more like 1100 rwhp on a mustang dyno.

This is not a daily driver and I will learn to drive it as long as it performs at the track.

I am also hydraulic roller, but I do not know how much of a difference it would be.

look at the size of that intercooler! haha

looks like you had to lose some creature comforts to sacrifice for performance.

btw I like that color reminds me of someone else's car

if you guys are going 10's na in that car then we are seriously behind the times with our gto performance.
