Parish had a stock one with a shift kit ONLY in his 4WD/5000lb/10-sec truck. Plus, Mike Brown runs 9.4's with his. I think you can even get a trans brake and manual valve body for them.
regardless, im having my t56 rebuilt by futral to hold the power, so I definately want to keep the m6 as it will be much more fun.
I only plan on gonig to the track 1-3 times a year, maybe a little bit more, mostly though just to get some track times so the car is mainly a fun factor setup.

Can you tell me alittle bit about what gears, rear, transmission upgrades, pulley size, s/c, injector sizes, heads /cam ect you installed to achieve the 700 rwhp. Oh and what safety equiptment will u be running to make your car legit for the track? (unless u guys dont have to tech in over there).
I am just curious to see what combo you went with.
Thanks,
Crystal

Remember with a M6 and FI. All the power on and all then all the power off between shifts sucks at the track.
Good luck

M6's are fun on the street agreed Probably why the Cobra's are out there powershifting their T56's, sucks to fall out of boost.
4L80's are tough cookies pretty hard to kill, that's the route I'd go for lack of driveability on the street.

I will be giving this a shot next week. Car hasn't been down the track for 2 years..............yea turbos. Best pass was 10.8 at 132. No 2 step and stock suspension. I have done it up all ways possible to crack off a low 10. I am going to throw the 2 step on this weekend. Car is making around 12.5 psi and 690rwhp. Running off the wastegates, as before. I'm sure someone willl take vids. angelo

Going deep into the tens or nines with a six speed is not to tough if you have driving ability. Its all about getting the car to hook up and shifting. I believe the six speed record for a t-56 is held by a viper at 8.75 at 168 which is the fastest ive seen in the country. I watched ryan woon in his six speed supra 2 weeks ago in vegas run 8.99@165mph so it can be done with the right setup.

Paul Efantis went 8.97@166.6 about a month or two ago in his full weight stock 6 speed Supra.
In 2001 Titan Motorsports went 8.9@163 on the stock 6 speed.
